Very comfortable and well made shoes. They go well with jeans or even dressed up a bit. They run narrow in size, so if you have even slightly wide feet you might want to consider getting the wide size.

These are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn. They are not as narrow as some other B widths. I even have another J&M style that is more narrow. I cannot wear my thinnest socks with these, but that doesn't bother me. They are a pleasure to wear.

These shoes were a very good fit and are good quality. The soles could be a little more breathable. Even so, they are still the best shoes I've had in the last five years.

I bought three pairs of shoes recently and these are clearly my favorite. I have not had them very long but the soft leather uppers are breaking in very quickly. The sheepskin lining inside the shoe and the extra cushioning heel to toe make it extremely comfortable. At the same time, they do not have an overpadded, bulky feel. In fact, they feel very light.The light stitching definitely give this shoe a casual look. This shoe would not look right with a suit. The narrow sizing is one of the truest I've come across. I will definitely be coming back to this shoe and trying others from Johnston & Murphy.

Without hesitation, I say you will not find a more comfortable dress shoe. I’ve worn a variety in the last ten years and none have come close to these J&M’s. I can’t remember the last time I had shoes that didn’t require some amount of break-in, these are the exception. The stitching gives the shoe a more sporty look which makes it more versatile, khakis anyone?

Walking on pillows -
These shoes are tremendously comfortable. The leather is clearly superior quality. They are a pleasure to wear right out of the box. I found them exceedingly more comfortable than many pairs of Ecco shoes I've purchased. Moreover, Zappos' superior service reliably came through with this purchase. I ordered the shoes late in the afternoon and received them the following morning by 10:00 a.m.

I bought these shoes for my husband who has very large and wide feet. They fit great and he said they are very comfortable especially for his long walk to work every morning. I think they also look very good but a little on the conservative side.

Nice basic oxford, but more comfortable than most -
Nice-looking shoe. Can wear it easily with khakis or jeans. More comfortable than I expected it to be -- it's quite nice. The upper is nice medium-soft leather and sole is plastic, which is fine. Not much of an arch.

J&M shoes -
I like the shoes a lot. Very comfy! The only item that I didn't like is that wearing them the first couple of times when I took steps there was the sound of air coming out of the shoes. It eventually stopped. I'm quite happy.

 |  | Wow. I placed an order online in Seattle yesterday at 2pm and this morning before I finished my first cup of coffee a UPS guy was standing in front of me with my shoes. I was going to ask if he had a shoehorn and could put my shoes on, because it was almost like being in a shoe store it was so fast. And best of all, it was free shipping. I feel like leaving you guys a tip or something. But I’ll tell you what, 3 other people in my office saw what went down and they were all on Zappos today shopping and I know they told a few friends.
