Great service. You can go online order the shoes & they are sitting on your doorstep the next day. This is quicker than going to the store yourself and the shipping is free. The only reason I wouldn't order these shoes from Zappos is if I found a good sale in town; I don't see running shoes on sale on Zappos very often. The ease of using this site is a definite plus.

I purchased these shoes with high intensity cardio in mind. Not quite like my older Asics. Not as much cushioning and heel support. I like the shoes and I am using them for less intense work outs. It would be great when shoe companies change the names and numbers of shoes if Zappos could tell us what the shoes are comparable to. Thanks Zappos for the excellent customer service, as usual.

I agree quite a bit with the 2nd reviewer-"From the Berry" I was using Gel Kayano Trainers for the past year until they have discontinued them. When I called the Zappos folks (who are super helpful, so call the running specialists, even if you need a "cross trainer") and they said Asics suggests this as a replacement. I teach high impact cardio class, and this shoe had some good points, but in the end did not win. Does feel bulky (particularly around the ankle). I too was trying to tie them really tight to keep my foot in place, and then I had numb feeling... the shoe is not nearly as fancy and "cool" looking as a lot of their other shoes... the toe box does seem wide. I use orthotics, and they worked great with my Asics Gel Kayano Trainers, and they fit and worked fine in this shoe, but the other features like the other reviewer said is what I found to be true. I also tried the Asics Gel Kushon TR (in a gray/fushia type color) and those, while not having as much cushioning as the Kayanos of course (esp. after I took out their extra cushiony insert for my orthodics) did def. win over this Gel 250-TR. The Kushon TR felt perfect on top, and lightweight too.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Asics Kushon TR, Asics Kayano (even for cross training too because of the extra forefront padding and super support)

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They are everything I expected and more. Will definitely make a purchase again.

Not Good...
I love Asics, but not this shoe. I really wanted to love it. It is a nice looking shoe, but didn't support my high arch, narrow foot. I do kickboxing, weights, running/walking...etc. The shoe is a little wide in the toe area and kind of bulky. I was tying the shoe tight for the support and my numb toes were still slipping around in the toe area. Also, I didn't find there was enough padding in the shoe for a good High Intensity workout. Half way through my work out, I had to take them off. =0(

Always delivers!
As always ASICS yet again has delivered on this shoe. It is comfortable to work out in and light while at the same time very easy to maintain. These shoes offer recreational and or professional athletes a shoe that poses no threat to the comfort of the feet when working out. A definite shoe for those who want to feel that they have nothing on their feet!

These are great shoes!
I run, walk, do step aerobics and lift weights. These shoes have proven to be the best all around shoe I have ever worn.

Searching for love -
I had heard great things about the Asics, I need a good walking shoe. I had been wearing the Easy Spirit Jumper for years and thought I needed a change. This is an "OK" shoe. It looks better than the Jumper but I do not think it out performs it. I have been using it for about 1 month, not thrilled with it, it is not love...

Love these shoes. I am ordering my second pair. They did take a little breaking in period but after that they are so comfortable AND I got so many compliments about them.

 |  | Well, you all have done it again...wowed us with your incredible service, that is. I ordered a bread board late Monday afternoon (after 5p.m.), and it was delivered to our doorstep early Tuesday evening...My husband just shook his head in amazement. The only thing I can liken this to is watching a finely choreographed magic act that leaves one asking, “How'd they do that?” Thanks for the speed of light service!
