This is the first time I ordered this particular shoe. I wanted something in black canvas which looked neat and casual. I am very pleased with the shoe. I will purchase more in the future.

I have been wanting these -
I decided I wanted a pink pair of Converse All-Stars some time ago. I finally decided I needed them when my old blue pair began to have even less support in the soles. Zappos is always fabulous about shipping and returns so I was very happy to find what I wanted here. The shoes must be made by a new manufacturer, though. They warn these run big so I got one half size smaller than the ones I already have and have had for years. The shoes were still way too big. I love the shoes and am happy I could get the right size so easily.

Great simple shoe -
Love this shoe. Wish they were a little more comfortable. I am a pretty true women's 7 and the 6.5 fits great so order a 1/2 size down.

My *favorite* shoe!
You can't go wrong with this shoe. I've been a devoted wear-ee for over 10 years and I can depend on Converse for quality, comfort, and style. Zappos.com has proven time and time again to provide excellent service and have been extremely friendly and fast with exchanges.

These are a classic, comfortable shoe that stands the test of time. Can be dressed up or down and great for men and women. Love these!

Wonderful! My son loves these slippers. Lots of shearling keeps his feet warm but never to hot. Good slipper for slightly narrow foot with a low instep. Would and probably will buy these again. Ordered two other Acorn shearling slippers and these were the best.

Better than expected!
This was the first time I used Zappos. The picture does not do these shoes justice. They are beautiful and Zappos is amazingly great to deal with. I would recommend these shoes and this site.

Shoes That Rock!
With today's economy, most of us are looking for things that low in cost and will stand the test of time. Look no further, you have found those shoes. Whether at work, on a date, or lounging around the house, these converse All Stars are well worth their price. Versatile, durable, and comfortable these shoes will quickly become your favorite, or the only pair worth wearing. Special Note for flat footed friends like me: You may need to add an arch support insole, if you tend to need the extra support or are on your feet for extended periods of time. But if, like me, you work on a computer for a living and most of your walking is around town or to the local coffee shop, then these will be great, and may not require a insert for you.

I just bought these for commuting and on the weekend. They're very comfortable although I added Dr. Scholl’s insert for arch support, other than that, they look great and are my new favorite shoes! Highly recommend, I love the black on black.

Perfect every day shoe for hiking, playing, rock climbing -
I got a pair of these for my son before a hiking trip when he was 7. A year later, I pried them off his feet and got him the next size. He's now 9, still wearing the second pair, and not about to give them up. They've been up mountains, rock climbing, hiking, creek wading, explored the tree canopy of a rain forest, wandered a desert, trekked many cities, and gone to school every day. When they get really dirty I throw them in the washing machine. Sometimes I pop out the sturdy arch support insoles and wash just them. He slips them on and off, occasionally tightens the bungee cords, and never has to slow down. Other than looking faded, they don't look worn. No damage or cracking - and they have taken serious abuse and extreme conditions. With these on the kiddo, I never have to wonder what we'll get up to today; he'll be ready.
Only problem: The waterproofing is -great-, but for high snow or deep water, it will go in over the top. They are more of a shoe-boot than a full hiker. They're great in snow, but not as a substitute for real snow boots.

Love - Great shoes that take a beating. A bit narrow though. During school, it rubs a bit against my pinky toe and rubs a sore spot. Beautiful shoes though.

Never wore Converse before or ordered from Zappos for that matter. But let me say I was thoroughly impressed. I placed my order on a Saturday and the shoes arrived Monday morning! Since Sundays don't usually count when you are talking about shipping times, I felt like my order had arrived the day after I placed it. I have never had a company other than Zappos work so quickly! The Converse are great. A total classic shoe. I must say that I followed other people's review advice and ordered them 1/2 size smaller than normal, but regular would have been fine too.

I have been wearing Converse since I was 11 years old (that's 17 year now) and I still love them just as much as I did when I got my first pair. These are the perfect standard "run-around" shoe, but they also come in tons of different colors and styles and patterns. I just love Converse.

1/2 size down did not work for me -
I just wanted to note that I took the advice of posters here and ordered a half size smaller. I've had the shoes for less than 2 months and the sole is separating on one of them at the toe and other seams on the other are also giving way. They also rubbed my toes. I would most definitely order my regular size (10.5) in the future. I have previously had pairs of these that lasted far longer, but it's been a little while.

This is a classic shoe that will never die. The Converse All-Star looks great, but as we all know it has barely any arch support. However, unless you're on your feet all day or have back problems, these are a fairly comfortable shoe. These shoes run a half size big. Order a half size smaller than you normally wear.

Red low cut converse shoes!!
We have search everywhere for a pair of red converse shoes. We could only find high tops. Then my oldest daughter (20 y/o) told us to try Zappos.com and we find them so easily. They were sent out immediately and were received within 3 days! Just in time for school. We are thrilled with Zappos and the no shipping charges. Classic Converse -
Not much support, as we all know, but they look great and are fine if you're not on your feet all day long. Love my new white ones--especially once they got a little dirty and weren't blindingly white. Fast, great service from Zappos as always. I'm an 8.5 in women's and a 6 in men's fit great.

These sneakers are classic, comfortable and fashionable. They look great with a pair of dark jeans. Hate dirty shoes, just chuck your Chuck's in the wash and they are pearly white again.

I love Converse All Stars!!! These shoes aren't the best for a long day of walking, but they look great! I love the way that they make my usually big, size 10 (women) feet look smaller and more petite. Very nice.

I'm usually a 9, but when I got this shoe, the 9 was too big so I exchanged it for an 8.5. However, Zappos did an amazing job. I got my exchange pair before I expected it. Awesome job guys!!! I'll definitely keep shopping with you.

Looks great - wide feet beware -
These shoes are iconic in style, but fit and comfort are compromised. Check out Jack Purcells for better comfort (insoles!) and fit with similar styling.

I ordered these in white and they basically go with everything in my closet. I ordered these in size 8 before and they were a little too narrow for my feet. (I have wide feet.) Ordering them at half a size larger solved the problem. I also like the fact that other retail shoe stores don't carry these in half sizes at all, but Zappos.com does! Great service Zappos!

AMAZING!
My feet are narrow and long, so these shoes are perfect for me. I love the fit. My little brother has a pair and he won’t take them off unless he’s going to bed. It’s very funny. I’m usually a size 10, but in Converse I am proud to say I’m an 8.

 |  | Unbelievable. I received shoes yesterday from an order I placed last week. I was bummed to find they were about a half size too small. So yesterday evening I placed a new order for the larger size but was bummed because I knew I'd have to wait a few days to receive them. I received an email from Zappos that my order had shipped last night. Nice touch but I figured no way that could happen, at the earliest it'll go out today. Then I checked the tracking number this morning and saw that my order went out from Kentucky last night, arrived in San Diego this morning (!) and was out for delivery!!! Wow. I'm impressed. Always have had a good experience with Zappos. When I expressed my frustration last night to my wife that the shoes didn't fit and I wish there was a better way to insure correct fit when you order online, she asked how I thought Zappos could make it more convenient.
