These shoes are incredibly comfortable for running on trails or on the road. I have pretty flat feet and I over-pronate, and I have found the arch-support on these shoes to be just what I need. I have found that these fit a little larger than the size GT-2100s that I wore previously (yes, they lasted for 4 years, although slightly worse for wear towards the end). I would have been better off ordering a half-size down from what I had been wearing. Overall, these are great shoes and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who runs on mixed surfaces and could use a little extra arch-support.

These are by far the best running shoes I have ever owned. I tried many due to an injury and I have not had any since changing to this shoe. I am a neutral foot. I wear these shoes both on trail and road. I run 100 mile and 135 mile ultra marathons.

Amazing comfort. Tried them on and haven't taken them off! I bought these yesterday when I got my email alert from the incredible Zappos. They were having a sale on running shoes and offered free ground shipping. I decided that my New Balance had enough wear and tear to buy a new pair. Normally I hate email spam, who doesn't, but I respect Zappos enough to know they only send emails when they really have something good going on. Yesterday was no exception. These Asics were a little more than I wanted to spend, but knowing the quality of Zappos name I knew they were going to be worth it. Normally it's a tough decision to buy shoes online since you never know if they will fit. Zappos takes that all into consideration and buying is easy. These Asics were no exception to that rule, but the best part about it is they fit exactly as advertised. I was very happy about the comfort of these and like it says in the title, I haven't taken them off yet. That's a rarity for me, since I usually go barefoot whenever I can. They are the exact right size, right width and super comfortable, not to mention super stylish.

Very comfortable overall. I ordered a wide shoe and it fits very well. Only issue is a bit too much cushioning in the arch - right around the back of it.

Worth it -
Great trail/street hybrid type shoe. Sturdy lateral support and aggressive sole pattern helps on rocky terrain, and the lightness makes it a good street daily runner also. Takes a little time to break in as mine are still real tight.

Asics Newcomer -
I am 62 years old with back, hip, knee, ankle, and foot problems. I walk more than I run, but doing either with the GT-2140 Trail is much more comfortable. The stability and comfort this shoe provides for my mild over-pronating feet is what I was looking for.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Asics Gel-Kyano 15 if you like a vinyl shoe.

Cushion, motion control, and a real arch support -
These shoes are the best I've worn in years. I usually get a pair of runners, take out the insole and replace it with an aftermarket model to get the degree of support and forefoot cushioning I need. I'm 6'3", 210 lbs, and need motion control and plenty of cushion under the balls of my feet. This shoe delivers both - right out of the box with the factory insole. They have excellent arch support and provide ample traction on trail and comfort on the road. I'm sold on these. In the past I've worn Brooks Beast and Brooks Addiction, and while these are excellent shoes, they come up short on cushioning in the forefoot. The 2140 trail gives ample motion control without feeling too stiff or "clunky" and has a thicker, more substantial padding the in the forefoot. I hope they continue with these and similar models - I'll be a repeat customer.

ASICS's GT-2140 Trail -
I have been wearing ASICS for years; this shoe lives up to the ASICS name. I have ran on pavement, beach, and wooded areas with these shoes, it has conquered all services.

Great for plantar fasciitis -
I bought these for my 19 year old some who suffers from fibromyalgia and plantar fasciitis-they are very comfortable and he reports that they have decreased his foot/ankle/knee and hip pain.

Good all around shoe for trail and road!
Had the 2130 so had to buy the next in line. Bought this shoe because of the wide 2E design. Comfortable shoe! Great on the trail but also does well on the road. Asics are great and have never had foot problems (knock on wood) since wearing them. Great shoe.

Great Shoe for the NW -
The Asics's GT2140 were great right out of the box. They have been in use for about 3 wks now, and I have no complaints. I run a couple of miles 5 days a week, and since it is January (pretty cold, wet, some dry) I have had a good chance of breaking in these shoes. Zappos was great about getting these to my door in record time, thanks again.

I immediately called your 24/7 hot line, and had one of the best customer service agents ever! Not only was she helpful in changing the shipping immediately, I also asked her to help me find similar boots in a different color, and she really tried her best to do so.
