As the above reviewers have said, these are really comfortable shoes. I'm surprised they're lighter and more comfortable than my Reebok, which aren't heavy, but the Avia 5506 makes the RBK feel like 3 pounds heavier. Anyway, the only down side to these shoes is that they're ugly looking (in my honest opinion, especially when you look down at your feet) and they're half size smaller. So if you normally wear a 10, go 10.5. The surprising thing is, with the price I bought the Avia 5506, I can't buy a New Balance, Nike or Asics running shoe. I guess the theory is, if you're going to buy Asics or New Balance, you better invest in at least $70 because I've worn less expensive Asics and Nikes and, uh, it's quite disappointing.

A Great Shoe For Running - I own many shoes for different uses. I have found that these have the best support and cushioning in the heel and arch, so not only do I use these for running, but I use them at work since I often am needed to lift and move heavy materials out of the truck into construction sites. These are great for moving heavy materials because they absorb impact and reduce the force on my feet. This is thanks to the good construction of the shoe and the fact that it uses a pressurized air chamber.

Great shock absorption with comfort -
Another AVIA running shoe with what I feel is the best shock absorption system available. Even running on pavement, the rebound of the Cantilever design eliminates any noticeable impact force on the knees and ankles. Great running shoes supplied by an outstanding company with unbeatable service - Zappos!!
