I was looking for a basic, comfy, stylish boot to wear as an everyday shoe. I needed something I could wear to work with skirts and other times running errands and such. This is definitely the boot! I tried on so many different boots and these were by far the most comfortable. They are also very warm. I have narrow calves and have such a difficulty finding boots that fit. These have an elastic insert and two buckles for adjusting. Zappos, hands down the best service, super fast and easy returns for the other boots I did not want.

Saw these boots first at Nordstrom, but they didn't have this color. It is a warm and rich color. Love it! The boots are extremely comfortable and pretty cute with jeans. I wore them outside for a few hours and they were warm enough, but not as warm as Uggs.

I have a hard time finding knee high boots because I have wide calves. These are listed as having a big enough circumference, so I thought I'd give them a try. I chose the Keen New Bern boot in a 7.5. My shoe size can vary from 6.5 wide to 8 medium, depending on the shoe. Well the 7.5 was too snug on my foot and I couldn't get it to zip up past my ankle! I sent for an 8 and while it took me a minute (and some wriggling) to zip them up, they went up all the way. After having worn them in for a few days, they stretched out enough so I can put them on more easily. They are very comfortable, warm and waterproof, and well supportive of my high arches, even though I still choose to wear them with orthotics. They also look great with leggings and a skirt.

I love my Keen boots. So comfortable and fit perfectly. I am sure they will be warm for the winter, too.The buckles on the side are great; tighten them up with leggings and loosen with jeans.

I really liked the style of the boot shaft on these, but the foot and ankle were kind of clunky. I ended up returning them because the tread was pretty much useless. They were slippery on my wood floors! I would not wear them in the snow as the Zappos video advertises.

Got the Bern High boot in a size 8. This boot is true to size. All around great boot and I love wearing them. You could choose to wear them as everyday boots or as work boots, or even a night on the town boots. Very versatile in their appearance, and their comfort-level is high. They get more and more comfortable each time I wear them. I love the leather quality and the design. Only thing I would change would have been to have the lining of the boot go all the way into the foot cavity. The boot itself is quite warm, but the foot cavity has no lining, so my foot gets cold on a cold day. Tried to insert a sheepskin liner but it didn't fit. Great boots!

I was excited for a high boot pair of Keens. Overall they were comfortable, true to size. However, only buy these if you plan on wearing them exclusively with skirts or outside of skinny jeans. I wore them under a pair of bootcut jeans and it looked like I was wearing shin guards. I returned them because of this.

Just okay -
These seem like a really warm boot that would be great for casual use. The foot runs too short, though, and unfortunately they don't make larger than 11. The lack of traction on the bottom might make them hazardous in icy weather. Thank goodness for Zappos and their great delivery and return service!

The boots fit great, especially if your legs are narrow like mine. They are super comfortable and fit true to my size, but if you are on the fence between two sizes, opt for the larger. I\'ve also gotten a ton of compliments on them. Great buy, for sure.

This is the fourth pair of boots I tried from Zappos, and I'm so happy to have finally found the perfect pair! So comfortable, warm, and cute. I love them. I have wide flat feet, and it is nearly impossible for me to find shoes that are comfortable, I don't want to take these off. I have muscular calves also, and these are a great fit, especially with the adjustable buckle straps.

I normally wear a 10 or 11, so I got these in a 10.5, which worked out perfectly. Enough room so I can wear thick socks. I have narrow feet which is suitable for this boot. The top has elastic under the belts, so the top can stretch or be buckled down. These are really warm and water resistant. The insole in these boots is not as comfortable as my other Keen shoes, but I still foresee these boots being a staple of my Seattle Winter wardrobe.

Old high school volleyball players better size up. These boots choked my shapely calves even when the double buckles were released. My ankles were kind of swimming, though. One full size up should fix things since I'm a sock wearer. Buy them; they rock.

Wow, I'm amazed at the comfort and style of this boot. I've had it for a month and find myself wearing them twice a week at least. The cork foam footbed is awesome. Great cushioning and support. I'm almost sad to take my boots off at the end of the day. I really like the shearling lining, too. It's perfect for the rain and chill of Portland. This is my first pair of Keen shoes and I'm highly impressed. It's a well made pair of boots and I expect to be wearing them over five years from now.

I have never gotten so many compliments from friends, family, and strangers as I have gotten on these boots, and I have a lot of boots. These are beautiful. I got them in the brown; it's perfect & goes with everything. They are very snug in the calves at first but stretch out within a couple of days. I'm a big fan of Keens and have several pairs. I'm so pleased that I added these to my collection.

I purchased these boots for my daughter after she phoned me and told me she would like them for Christmas, as they were cute and good for the rain and snow. She is living in Cambridge, and attending Harvard right now. I ordered them online and it could not have been easier. My daughter said the boots came about 5 days after I ordered them. They even put in a message from me to my daughter. She loves her new boots, she said they are very comfortable, and fit like a glove. She wears them everywhere. I would order from this company again in a heartbeat. We are well pleased.

I purchased these in Crouton (light brown). I loved the look of these boots and they were very comfortable, unfortunately I couldn't zip them much past my ankles so I had to return them. I don't feel like I have huge calves, but apparently just too big for these boots. I also noticed that the tread is very smooth on the bottom. I didn't wear them outside so I don't know if they would be bad for traction or slippage. I wish I could have kept them as they're comfortable, great looking boots!

This is the best boot I have ever purchased. I wear boots from October through April and walk at least a mile each day. These were perfect from the first minute I put them on, no breaking in time at all. Comfortable, warm, good arch support, just perfect. Look good with skirts also. As usual, perfect customer service from Zappos.

These boots are exactly what I was looking for from a brand I trust for comfort. They are not too dressy nor too "sporty".The size is my regular size. They are very comfortable after several hours of "activities".They look good and people have asked me about them (teenagers as well as middle age people)I still will wear my old Sorels to shovel snow and walk through a storm but I trust these boots to do the job if I have to wear them in snowy weather.Time will tell.My feet are a little wide but it is not a problem with these boots. I recommend them highly.

Very comfortable warm and kind of stylish. These boots are very comfortable and warm this morning was 36 degrees and the first day wearing them out of the house. The top of the boot is a little bulky when you wear them with long skirts, but it still works. The inner fleece lining keeps it comfortably snug around the calves yet the elastic at the tops allows for room if you need it. These are a very nice and practical boot. I returned the other two boots I tried these work the best!

I\'ve been in search of a functional cute winter boots. These boots are cute, but their soles are very smooth with no tread. Living in Minnesota, these would not be ideal for walking on ice and don\'t seem to be very warm. The foot bed was very comfortable. However, the zipper was not very rugged, and the calves were a bit snug. I have athletic calves and I am sure these would stretch, but I didn\'t like them enough to keep them. These aren\'t as durable or as cute as the Sorel Hoonah boots I found on zappos. These would be great in the rain and great for someone living in a more temperate climate.

Hell has frozen over. I have finally found a pair of knee-high black boots that fit my calf and are fitted and cute, even stylish. Gasp. I am not the "big-calved chick" spokesperson or anything, in fact I never thought my calves were especially big until I tried to find a decent pair of knee-high black boots. Apparently I have abnormally large calves, based on the lack of boots that can accommodate my calves. Every fall/winter I try, try again, and every year I again sigh, shrug and give up the hunt for another season. Two years ago I gave in to a pair of suede RSVP's. They were cute (Thank you RSVP for helping those of us who apparently are large-calved), but unfortunately the boots are too baggy in my calves. My husband jokes that I resemble a pirate wearing them. Not exactly the look I'm going for. But I happened upon these boots, being a big fan of Keens and owning several pair. Unbelievable, but these Keen Bern boots are it! City-chic, walkable-wearable, snug on my legs all the way to the top. Shocking! Thank you Keen; thank you Zappos!

Warning to those with larger ankles/calves: My ankles are slightly larger than most, and I couldn't zip the boot much beyond my ankle, which is very unusual for me. I'm disappointed they didn't fit. They looked really comfy.

I just got these in the mail today and I couldn\'t be happier. After reading reviews of these boots I was a little weary because some people said the sizing was way off. But for me it was right on. I tend to be either an 8.5 or a 9. I went with 9 because I plan on wearing these with big winter socks. It\'s perfect. They are warm and cozy and a wonderful fit, not to mention stylish. I love the Orla color and the wooly inside.

I have been wishing for my favorite maker of shoes to make a comfortable, cute all weather tall boot I can live in, keen, you've done it! This boot is beautiful, perfect amount of height, great color, can wear in rain, snow, with skirts, tucked into jeans. Looks great, feels amazing on my poor sad feet that have many problems and need good, supportive shoes. I can walk the kids to school, stay on my feet all day with no problem in these great boots.
