I have been searching for flat, black boots that would keep my feet warm in dry in the wet climate of Western Washington. These are great! They are like wearing my bedroom slippers. Very cozy and warm. Very comfortable. Fit snugly on my calves, but I can still zip them over jeans. Thanks for your patience Zappos. Great customer service.

These things fit like a glove and seem really comfy, with enough cushion to walk around all day. I have average calves (I'm a runner) and they are a snug fit; would be great with tights, but maybe too stuffed with jeans? As someone else already said, they're a little bit of a pain to zip over the ankles. I don't know, for me they are a little too "skinny" looking, kind of like a knee-high wrestling shoe. I thought they looked cool online, the quality is great (Salomon makes good stuff!) and the pattern is really neat (looks sort of like little gray-outlined roses), but in person they're just not quite my style.

Cute boot, fits well through the calf, but rather narrow in foot, and difficult to zip over ankles... and I don\'t have kankles. It would be difficult to wear these boots with a warm sock (not even a sport sock) so I\'m not sure if I\'m going to keep them.

Loved these boots. Perfectly true to size, and a close but not tight fit on the shaft, which is very flattering. Not at all clumpy, yet they seem tough and weather-proof. Have had many compliments, and would have bought them in more colours if they had them!

Cool casual boots! As comfortable as running shoes, but the Thinsulate insulation keeps your legs warm. I wear a Size 10, and tried both colors, one in 10 and one in 10.5. If you plan to wear a cushioned boot sock inside, you may consider going a half size up. I\'m keeping the Desert color in 10.5 to wear this Winter in Afghanistan, with SmartWool ski socks. The toe cap is sturdy, and the sole is nice and grippy for ice or snow. I have muscular calves, and the stretchy back fit perfect, without binding. If you have super slim calves, they may not fit as well. I think the design, colors, and pattern are great. I hope the water resistant claim holds up.
