Absolutely perfect! I ordered these and two other similar styles yesterday afternoon and they arrived today. Yay Zappos! When I tried them on, there was no contest: these were the best looking and most comfortable by miles. Since I'm short, I'm forever looking for comfortable footwear that adds at least two inches. These boots are probably in the top two of my rather large shoe wardrobe. I can't believe how comfortable they are at 2 1/4 inches. I have a high instep and they give me plenty of room. I admit, I could live without the silver zipper, but still, five stars.

I ordered the Cuoio Full-Grain Leather in a size 8. The boots fit nicely, leaving a little room left over for warm, winter knee socks. After looking through Born's boot selection, I decided that the Lewisa boot is the best style for my budget. I like the double buckle detail. The heels are the right height for long-distance walking or traveling. The leather has an authentic smell and texture. The Cuoio color is beautiful and bright. I've received many compliments while out and about wearing these boots. I ordered a different pair of Born boots from Zappos last winter. Zappos delivered quickly and efficiently as usual. Born is my favorite company for boots and leather shoes because their craftsmanship and handmade quality is unrivaled.

LOVE this boot! Comfie and Stylish.
I always worry about buying boots online, but these were perfect! My calves are on the big side, but these boots fit like a glove! I can wear them with jeans tucked in or with skirts. The fit is snug and VERY comfortable. I have received so many compliments!

These were the most uncomfortable boots ever! The leather was stiff as a board. I couldn\'t even take a step without them hurting my foot. I was surprised, since Born is usually a comfortable shoe.

This is the most comfortable boot I have ever found for walking, and I've tried many boots! I live in New York City which means I walk all over all the time, and this boot is up to the challenge. Feels great, looks great. I like that the zipper doesn't go all the way to the top. There is plenty of room to get your feet in, but you don't have to zip them back up when you aren't wearing them. They don't slump over any more when unzipped than zipped, really. My feet are a little wider than normal, but not quite wide enough for a wide shoe, and these feel wonderful.

Wow! I ordered these boots yesterday afternoon, and they were on my porch when I got home from work today. Amazingly fast shipping! As for the boots themselves, incredible! They fit perfectly right out of the box, and I wore them for 3 hours tonight at a gathering. My feet felt amazing the whole time! I love them!

I am really picky about shoes, especially since I have bunions and my feet have been beaten up from wearing cheap shoes and high heels, so I was looking for both style and comfort in these boots. I bought the "Ochre" brown color and they are beautiful. Very classic looking, but trendy enough to pull off today's styles. They are perfect for wearing with skinny jeans tucked in, leggings, long and short skirts, jeans. An overall versatile boot. Got lots of compliments on them the first day. The boot isn't so narrow that my bunion gets painful, and these are probably the comfiest closed-shoes I've worn other than sneakers. Easy to walk in, heel isn't too high or too low. Has that great leather smell! I would recommend these as a great boot for a woman who wants a classy look that will transcend through every season.

I was skeptical at first about getting these boots because of the silver zipper issue but now that I have them I LOVE them and I love the silver zipper! It has attitude and adds a certain swagger to my step.

Wow! These are my first pair of Borns, and as soon as I tried them on I knew I was keeping them because they are so comfortable. Very cushiony. I have blisters from breaking in other boots, but I don't feel any places where these could give me trouble; no rubbing, no hard edges, nothing. I think these won't be last pair of Borns, they're great.

This is a great boot! I now own a pair of the dark brown and the cuoio. I usually wear an 8 1/2 or at times a 9, but these fit in the 8. Thought they might be a little tight at first, but they quickly loosen up, and fit well without slipping on my heel.

The boots look just like they did in the picture. Not like the ones I just got from Victoria's Secret where they state a heel of 3 inches and it's more like 4. Shopping at Zappos is safe and easy and the products always arrive on time.

How to Cure Winter Blues! Thank you Thomas McClaskie! And hats off to Zappos, you can't be beat! I tried and always come back! They are the best! All the information and service at your finger tips. I tell everyone, to go here first and never be last! The Born Lewisa is fun, functional, and fantastic! I wear a 6 to 6 1/2 in most shoes but wore 7 with these, no thick socks only tights or thin socks will work. There is a great warm thin lining in the boot that wicks away moisture. I have had several foot surgeries, and they are comfortable. The tabs for pulling on are perfect. The heel height is high enough to complete the look of a "Great" boot. The brass zipper is a nice comfy halfway zipper and all the hardware is a good color with the brown leather to dress up or down. Can be worn with, pants, jeans, skirts and dresses. It's all good!

I love these boots. I originally ordered them to just give them a try and knew Zappos would be cool about me sending them back. Once I tried them on there was no way they were going back. They are true to size. The heel is so subtle, just the perfect amount of height without being hoochie. The leather is soft and supple. I have worn these boots all day and never suffered a moment for it. Can't say enough about them. I plan on buying another pair in a different style. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could!

Don\'t hesitate to order these boots. I LOVE them. The quality is outstanding. The zipper color was not an issue as I ordered the brown and it blends right in. I thought they were a little roomy at first but with a sock the fit is true to size. Very comfortable. I wear them with jeans for a polished casual look.

Love these boots! They are so classy and comfortable. As for the zipper, I have the brown pair, and so the zipper really doesn't stand out. In fact, now that I look at it the zipper is bronze, so it blends right in. So no worries as far as that goes with me! Can't say enough good things about them.

I agree about the silver zipper. I thought I had finally found a beautiful boot that might actually fit my larger calves. Then I saw that shiny silver zipper just jump out at me and I thought "how could they have put a silver zipper and ruin the whole look?" What a huge disappointment. I wonder if they could redesign it with a black zipper?

If not for that zipper! Love the look of these boots from the outside view, the heel height, the comfort of the fit. However, the genius who designed these with a silver zipper should get a pay cut, because it really detracts from the overall look. I returned mine because I just couldn't get past that.
