I have owned the Asics Gel Trabuco 12 WP size 12 1/2 for two days now. The first time I put them on they felt really tight (I also own a pair of Asics Gel Nimbus 9s for running size 12 1/2). I put them on again today to see if maybe they would stretch a little, but for some reason they just aren't fitting my foot right. I am going to try a half size larger to see if that helps. I am 6'3", 205 lbs if that helps.

Disappointed -
I'm an Asics fan because of their comfortable gel soles, so I was excited to find an Asics trail shoe that was also waterproof. It was disappointing then to discover the shoe is neither waterproof nor comfortable. I tested it in a light drizzle running through wet grass. Water soaked through to me feet within about 15 minutes. The fit was also disappointing. Asics apparently just added a Gortex lining to a regular sized shoe, thus the interior of the shoe is smaller due to the space taken up by the thicker Gortex lining. My regular running shoe size felt tight and my toes were crowded. Going a half size larger solved the toe crampness, but was a tad too long. The sole of the shoe was comfortable and I liked all the reflective trim since I run a lot at night.

I\'ve had these for about a year. Some of the best shoes I\'ve owned. I use these nearly daily for walking and running my dog, as well as hiking and casual use. A little heavy but a good payoff for being waterproof. I\'m planning on buying a new pair when these wear out but they are holding up well so far. I tend to buy a 1/2 size larger when buying Asics.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: New Balance, Keen, Soloman

I, and my wife, love this shoe. We run in the woods and pastures so the Gore-Tex is really a great item for us. Return home after an early morning run through heavy dew and some puddles with dry socks! We both feel that the shoe provides great support for off-trail running. We have primarily hilly, sandy, trails with some slippery clay areas after a rain. These are great shoes! Seem to run a bit narrow/small. Perhaps a 1/2 size larger would be a good idea.

Great kicks - I train in Asics exclusively. I've tried other shoes over the years, but nothing beats Asics for me. As always you can count on comfort and construction and durability. This particular model is made with Gore-Tex so it will be great for outdoor or wilderness where you may run into some water, but you'll still stay dry. Plus they've got a nice toe cap for added protection if you kick any ruts, rocks, sticks, etc. Even if you just want these for wearing around with jeans they can't be beat for style, either.
