I'd like to say overall I am happy with this shoe, but I can't. First the good: I have had the shoes for 10 months and the tread has not worn down too much, an issue I have with many shoes due to the amount of walking I do. Now the bad: I returned my first pair due to the eyelets popping out. (Zappos was great with the return process.) The second pair had the same issue, but I felt this is a design issue & went to a shoe repair place & dealt with it that way. The a few months later the leather that helps hold the silly venting looking piece started to go. Not the seam itself, but the leather on either side of the seam, meaning it cant be fixed. For a slogan "Built to last" these shoes do anything but. I would not buy them again nor will I try another Skechers work product for fear of same inferior workmanship.

This shoe is great for the working man. My hubby is hard on shoes and this one will take a lot longer to wear out. LOVE IT!!

Good shoe but needs improvement -
The biggest problem I have with them is the stitching on the side is falling apart after 3 weeks! Could use a little more arch support but its not too bad. I would be very happy with them if the stitching held up.

My new shoes -
I did not know that I ordered steel toe shoes. They are lite and easy to walk in. They look great and guys on the job site were amazed that they are only 70 bucks.
I tell everyone to check out ZAPPOS the best place to shop.

My second consecutive Skechers steel toes -
This is the second pair of Skechers steel toe boots that I have purchased. The first pair (do not recall style) were absolutely great right out of the box. These here walk and feel good, especially with the front of the soles having the new type of slope that aide in walking. Really only negative is sitting for long periods, the top of my feet begin to ache - this will probably just require some break in time.

Great Steel-tipped work shoes -
I volunteer on a scenic railroad and have just begun brakeman training. That requires steel-tipped shoes, so after some research, I settled on these Skechers, which provide the necessary protection, but still look good. I have found them to be very comfortable. Fortunately, no railroad equipment has rolled over my toe yet!
I wear orthotics, which fit well into these shoes, so I cannot answer the question below about arch support.

What a great shoe!
I bought these shoes for my son and he said it was the best work shoe he has ever gotten. They were great fitting he took them out of the box and wore them to work and had no problem! Keep up the good work!

Not worth the money -
This is a very comfortable work boot. I didn't even notice the steel toes, despite working 10-12 hour days on my feet. However, they began to fall apart after 6 months, half the eyelets fell out, and the sides tore. I've had shoes I paid $40-50 last longer. If you don't mind buying new boots every 6-9 months, then, sure, these are great.

Great shoes but...
Love sketchers because they fit great for my flat feet. Took a few days to break in. But they started to rip a little bit on both shoes in the same spot with only about a months worth of use. Called Zappos and they sent out a new pair, like the shoes love Zappos service.

Boots Fall Apart A Little More Everyday -
Slow break-in process...Ridiculously uncomfortable for the first week. Once boots were finally broken in, one of the nifty little metal shoelace hooks broke off...then another...Out of the 20 metal shoelace hooks on the shoe, 12 either fell off or broke. The inside heel completely eroded. Substantial tearing all over both boots, with large holes on the right boot where I need extra support. Ironically boots are now quite comfortable, but far too many issues to deal with since I have only worn them for FIVE MONTHS! Delivery Drivers Beware!

These boots were EXACTLY as advertised. The size was totally accurate and my son started wearing them as soon as they were delivered!

Great Work Boot -
I bought these boots for my husband who is a commercial fisherman and also delivers oysters to the markets in Charleston. The boots are very comfortable; they do not slip or skid on the wet muddy floor. Great boot!

Skechers steel toe - AOK -
I purchased these boots for work as I visit plant sites from time to time and safety shoes are required. I have had trouble finding a pair of steel toe shoes or boots that don't rub my toes raw where the steel toe cap starts. I went through three pairs over the last couple of years looking for that perfect fit.
So far I have worn these for two days but they are working out great. The uppers felt broken in right out of the box. The soles are a bit stiff, but I expect this from a work boot. No discomfort where my toes meet the steel toe cap. :-) Happy

You get what you pay for!
Overall I would score these boots as "poor". I guess they'd be Ok if you wore them on just the weekend, but then they'd be called "casual boots" not work boots. I had these shoes for four months before the eyelets tore away from the shoe itself and about a month after that the steel toe portion separated from the rest of the boot. I do work a full-time construction job and need a heavy-duty boot, so I guess I should have known better.

Great hiking and working boot.
We just purchased many acres of land with old buildings. I wanted something sturdy on my feet for protection when we start investigating the buildings and property. These are wonderful. I can give things a "kick" without hurting my toes!!
