I went to a shoe specialist who noticed my high arch by watching me walk. He immediately recommended this shoe for jogging. I took his advice, and since getting these shoes I have not had knee problems or shin splints. I run over 3 miles a day.

Great shoe. Have run in a lot of different shoes over the years. I'm a fairly large runner at 6'2" at around 230 lbs. I usually run in New Balance or Brooks, but have wanted to try something different. This was my first pair of Mizunos, and gotta say I am very impressed. Very good fit and feel, lightweight, comfortable cushioning without feeling spongy or too soft like many shoes do. I usually end up stuck with 14EE in New Balance, Asics, and Brooks, but was able to fit in a 13EE in these. Arch support is just right in my opinion, as I don't like too much support as it interferes with the foot's natural compression/rebound. Great neutral shoe that I would highly recommend.

Zappos is one of the few companies I have dealt with that not only does what it says it will do but goes beyond to ensure their customers are treated right. My Mizuno Wave Riders are just the right shoe for me and Zappos had what I needed and delivered them much quicker than I anticipated. I have used Zappos return policy once and had absolutely no problem returning merchandise.

Mizuno attempted to improve on the Wave Rider 11 by redesigning the mesh fabrics, but it has fallen short as they also changed the forefoot cushioning. The Wave Rider 11 had a far better ride in the forefoot which had a longer life under impaction as well.

Excellent running shoe. I do all my running on a treadmill these shoes feel great. They absorb impact very well and have a nice fit. I experience absolutely no knee or ankle pain like I did with previous, albeit inappropriate, "sneakers". Having little experience with running shoes I googled 2008 best running shoe and the Mizuno name came up, I read a few reviews and decided to order them. I'm very glad I did, they truly are wonderful.

Don't use it for running, but it is good for walking. I have high arches and wide feet, and this shoe fit the bill.

This shoe looks fine and feels fine. I've had other Mizunos that were a bit more comfortable but they do a good job a providing comfort and stability when I walk and jog.

Mizuno Wave Rider 12 -
I am a sixty year old man; I am 6'6" tall and weigh 225 lbs. I do most of my jogging on a treadmill and these are without a doubt the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I would highly recommend them to anyone. The Zappos ordering experience was the best ever. Thanks Zappos.

Another great Mizuno running shoe.
I've always used the Wave Creation series but now I will use the Wave Riders. Not as much support but makes up for it in comfort for long runs. I'm really pleased with the new design. I'm a Clydesdale and Mizuno's are are the best running shoe for the big guys. Running between 20-30 miles per week, I get a full 6 months out of this brand, simply outstanding!

Great comfort and style -
Tough to find "cool" looking shoes that actually function for moderate indoor running -- these are both stylish and comfortable! Lightweight, flexible, sturdy sides and roomy toe box; look really good too. These are roomier than Nikes, and feel nice for casual wear too.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Nikes are faves, but don't come in 16s, Mizunos are super. :)

Absolutely love the Wave Rider 12. I have been a loyal ASICS Nimbus fan for years, but the new lacing system on the ASICS makes the toe box narrower. After doing some shopping around I decided to give the WR 12's a try and I don't regret my decision. I am a casual runner needing a neutral cushion shoe. I am 6’2” 240lbs and this shoe is holding up very well and can't wait to buy another pair. I wasn't sure about the color since I am prone to be conservative, but the color is real cool and matches all my other gear. Great shoe!

Gorgeous! I have wide feet and these shoes fit very well. The only issue is the front portion of the mary jane cuts into my foot. It's something I have not been able to fix which is too bad because I absolutely LOVE the shoes. I'm sending them back but I'm VERY open to try a similar pair without the mary jane cut at the top.
