I started buying Chaco shoes a few years ago due to being diagnosed with Morton\'s Neuroma in one of my feet. I have since had two surgeries and find it difficult to wear a lot of shoes without pain. So far, Chaco has been the exception. This Clara style does not have as aggressive of an arch support as the sandals, but I can wear them when I am teaching for 8+ hours and not have pain. I usually wear an 8, but had to return them for a 7.5. The heels slide a small amount, but I find it depends on the socks I have on. I also had worn them around the house a few days off and on to break them in and get used to them before I did a full day. Zappos, once again, exceeded my expectations and was great to do business with!

The shoes have great arch support so they are really comfortable. I wear them while I'm teaching and my feet do not hurt at the end of the day. The only thing that has bothered me is that the very top does not give at all so every now and then it hurts the top of my foot. That's a very minor problem considering that my arches, knees, and shins do not hurt. Plus, they are totally cute and not old lady shoes. It's hard to find cute and comfortable.

Heel way too big -
As some others have commented, the heel is WAY too wide on these. They are unwearable in my opinion. They feel nice on my feet and provide pretty good arch support, but it's impossible to walk in them because I just walk right out. I usually put some heel inserts in my shoes if the area on my achilles rubs or is too big, but these just can't be saved. Even with some extra padding around the achilles, I still don't think I could make these work. So sad. They are so adorable.

I wear my Chacos sandals religiously (my other brands of choice are Keen and Earth and sometimes Birkenstock) and I was excited to see the debut of a casual shoe by Chaco. I had high hopes! However, some tweaking is needed. The arch isn't nearly as supportive as the Chaco arch and I didn't feel any of the famous negative heel technology at work. I ordered my regular size and the shoe was fine for length, but wide at the back. My heels slipped right out of both of the shoes when walking. The Clara looked cute on the website, but definitely less attractive in person. The webbing on the toe box was odd looking, and the nubuck wasn't the flat variety as seen on Keen casuals but rather fluffier, which made it more casual. This isn't a shoe that can be dressed up or down, in my opinion. It's definitely a dress-down shoe. I returned it.

Love 'em. Great arch support, and while not as 24 hour comfortable as Chaco sandals, they can get me through the working day with a smile on my face. Great with pants, look a tad clunky with capris or shorts.

I have a pair of Chaco Hipthong flip flops that I love so I thought would try a closed toe shoe. The Clara looked cute enough to wear to work and has a closed toe that is a requirement for my job. My flip flops are a size 9 but I generally wear a 9.5 in most shoes. I ordered my normal size 9.5 for the Clara model and the shoes were way too big. I returned them for an 8.5 and the length was good, but the heel is not narrow enough to make them feel secure on my foot. I ended up returning them...sadness. I have a narrow foot, but for someone with a wider foot these seemed very comfortable. I ended up ordering the Chaco Janes and kept those. They are not as cute (IMO) but they have straps that keep them secure on my narrow feet.
