This is a great bag. I ordered it in black, but didn\'t like the white stitching, so that one is going back. I ordered it in tan, and have kept that one. The bag is very well made, especially for the price. The leather is soft. The lining is beautiful. Although the bag is not huge, there are plenty of compartments with easy access. (I hate the current trend toward enormous bags with no dividers.) There is a zipped center compartment to keep your wallet, cell phone, etc., secure, and two side pockets that close with magnetic snaps. The side pockets are actually fairly secure, as well. I like the choice of short straps or shoulder strap.

Great bag - perfect size, made with soft good quality leather. The shoulder strap in addition to the shorter one was the major selling point for me. Sometimes with coats or sweaters it\'s difficult to maneuver the small ones. It was a lot for me to spend on a purse, but I am very satisfied with this purchase.

I ordered this purse because I thought it would be just right for the office. The quality is high and I like the style. But it is too small. I find myself trying to stuff my average size wallet into it. Basically, you can fit a wallet, glasses case and small makeup bag. No room for anything else. So if you tend to carry more than that, I\'d recommend buying something bigger. The photo makes it look larger than it is.

My purse arrived the next day and was exactly what I was looking for. Zappos has the largest variety of purses and shoes that I have ever seen. I do all of my shoe shopping at Zappos and will also purchase my purses through Zappos as well.

This is a perfect purse, not too small and not so big that it turns into a messy pit. The leather is really soft and pretty, and it is as nice for summer as it is for fall. A great buy, since I was originally in the market for a Coach leather bag, but I think their prices are just silly. This is a swell bag, a classic style, and it is well-made. Buy one!

This is an attractive sporty bag that will transition well from summer to fall in the spicy cognac color. I like it because it is sporty, but simple enough to dress up with the right clothes and shoes. It has a nice, tailored structure that holds more than it appears. I just have to be careful not to overfill it or can be too heavy to wear on my shoulder!

It looks rather small, but it's actually the perfect size. It's so well designed, everything fits and there is space for every item. It holds much more than what at first glance looks like. Great purchase!

Can't beat a Fossil!!
I purchased the Blackburn Satchel in Saddle in mid-March & am still in love with this purse - it's the perfect size for me, all my "stuff" fits in it nicely without being crammed in there & it's much roomier than it might appear online. What really sold me on this particular purse was the optional shoulder strap that comes with it - I usually prefer purses with a single shoulder strap instead of double straps & like that I can switch between the two if desired. Also, this purse has a simple, clean & classic look to it so it won't look out of date years from now & the leather is gorgeous! Only possible complaint that I have is that the Saddle color is more orange-y than other Fossil bags in this same color that I've seen at department stores. But hey, I didn't return it & that says a lot! Might even order another one in a different color. Buy this bag - I doubt you'll be disappointed at all!! In addition, Zappos is AWESOME!! Had originally ordered a different Fossil purse & when it arrived, I found it way too big to suit my needs (mistake on my end - didn't check the dimensions beforehand). Called Zappos immediately to do an exchange for the Blackburn Satchel. They had it to me the very next day!! WOW...I just can't say enough great stuff about Zappos. The few times I've done an exchange or return, everything has been handled promptly, professionally & with a courteous, friendly manner from the customer service rep. Wish they were in my town because I'd love to work for such a terrific company!!

Thoughtful design -
I originally bought this bag in a department store clearance bin (in avocado green). Despite the odd color, I found myself using the bag daily because it's so thoughtfully designed:
~two exterior pockets keep cell phone and sunglasses close at hand
~two large magnetic compartments for keys, make-up, etc.
~middle zippered section for keeping wallet safe, PLUS two more pockets within and another interior zippered compartment to boot!
This purse addresses all my needs . . . so much so that I bought another one in espresso brown for myself and one in black for my mother. The rich, slightly textured leather wears well, and the multiple sections keep my things organized.
In the Zappos' picture (with the mannequin), the handbag looks much larger than it does "in person." Therefore, go by the dimensions, rather than the picture. I'd call it moderate in size.
LOVE this bag & highly recommend it!
