I bought these shoes after seeing a short review in a magazine. I also liked the idea that they used extensive recycled content. I broke them in during a few short walks, and then took them to Hawaii last week to do some day hikes. They really did not stand up well. In fact, they fell apart. The insoles are so lightweight that half way into the first hike, the insoles rotated off the sole and onto the side of my foot. They offer little lateral support and they are coming apart at one seam. A jogging shoe would have held up better. Save your money and buy a proven hiker from Keen or Merrell.

Great Shoe -
Perfect for trail hiking or running. This is an extremely light weight shoe but it gives me proper ankle support. I like how the shoe breathes; totally eliminated my traditional soaked socks. Shoe cleans easily too.
I bought the shoe mainly because of the eco-design. And it has not let me down. My only beef with the shoe is that it is made overseas...Let it be known, my hypocritical self will buy another pair of END's once these are kicked.

When my pair of boots arrived in less than perfect condition, I had hoped to exchange them for a new pair. Unfortunately, you were out of stock. A wonderful representative offered tips on how to clean up the boots, offered to search other stores to see if they had the boots in stock, and even asked if I would like a refund before returning the boots! I decided to keep the boots for a few more days, as I was not interested in purchasing from another retailer. Luckily, Zappos received more boots in stock within the week. Another rep sent my order straight away and ensured that the new pair were in perfect condition. Best yet - they sent the new pair with overnight shipping!
