Broken-in and worn like a pair of old jeans...
This is the second pair of Old Gringos I purchased.The fit and look is outstanding. They look so beat up you can wear them everyday and the curled up toe is really pretty cool. My Luccheses have been put in the back of the closet since I got these... A bit of advice, if you wear a wide width, go up a half size...

Great Boots -
These boots are very comfortable - much softer than I expected - almost like suede. They are very heavily distressed, including scuffing on the surface of the sole and heel, so don't think anybody will mistake them for dress boots! But if you want a cool boot for just kicking around, these are perfect. As for the turned-up toe, I think it's very stylish and actually part of the reason I wanted this boot. Looks great with boot-cut jeans and not "pixie" at all. I wish Old Gringo made the same boots (including the turned-up toe) in a smooth cowhide - I'd snatch 'em up in a minute!

This boot is the most comfortable non-custom made boot I have ever tried on. The leather is soft. The look of the boot is outstanding with one huge exception. The last two inches of the boot curl up like a bootie on one of Santa's elves would wear. For the life of me I can't figure out what Old Gringo was thinking. I've had this boot now for two days looking at it, re-trying it on and I can't get past the ends curling up like the shoes the Lolli-Pop kids wore in the Wizard of Oz. I'm deeply disappointed as I would love to keep these boots but I will have to return them for this one serious design flaw.

 |  | I just wanted to thank you for being so wonderful. Last week I ordered a pair of shoes but when I got them home the color didn't match so I needed to return them. What I didn't realize was that when I shipped them back to you, my cell phone charger was also in the box. The last couple of days I have been going crazy looking for it. But to my surprise it showed up today. My UPS driver just dropped off a tiny Zappos box. As I opened the box knowing that I hadn't ordered anything, I was amazed and grateful to find the charger in there. This little gesture just proves how much your company goes above and beyond for their customers and I for one truly, truly appreciate it. When you say "We are always here for you" you really mean it! I love your company, site, and all you stand for and do for your customers. I can't thank you enough for making my day! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
