I've been looking for a pair of stylish, weatherproof boots that would also be comfortable. After a trip where I had to wear these boots all day walking around sightseeing, I am sad to say, I'm going to have to keep looking. My feet started to hurt so badly after standing/walking for an hour or so that I ended up buying a pair of Uggs to wear the rest of my trip. These are cute and still okay for days when I'm not doing much walking or standing. But they're not as comfortable as I'd hoped.

Didn't get to wear them a lot (yet), but I love the style, comfort and that one can dress them up or just wear them with a pair of jeans. I have another pair of boots from La Canadienne, very warm and comfortable. True to size.

Over a year later...
These boots have been my everyday winter boots for the past 2 winters. I have just noticed huge cracks in both soles!! I realize that I have already worn them for 2 winters, but they weren't cheap.

I've even shoveled snow wearing these boots!
I've never spent so much on a pair of shoes, but these are so worth every penny. I've worn them daily this winter in NJ, and they've kept my feet dry and warm through rain, slush and snow. I'm a true size 5, and they fit perfectly. They were comfortable right away, without any break-in. I love the height of the heel, but I don't feel like I'm wearing high heels. I've even shoveled snow in them! Besides, they look great - the wedge heel is stylish and also provides stability. I love the squared-off toe, and the boot looks great with long jeans (where the hem barely scrapes the floor). Like I've said, I've worn them in the rain, trekked through slush & snow, and the suede still looks nice. These are my first La Canadiennes, and I'm hooked!

Love this boot!
I have been looking for these exact boots. They are beautiful and soooo comfy! I loved the first pair so much that I bought a second pair in another color. Great style and quality. Fit true to size and width. A bit expensive, but worth it! Thank you Zappos.

La Candienne Boot -
Great shoe - very warm and comfortable. I typically wear an 8 1/2, but found the size 8 to be a perfect fit so they run slightly big.

These boots are fabulous! Good fit, comfortable for all day and La Canadienne can't be beat for their water proof materials.

Warm, Sexy, Comfortable...IN A BOOT!!!
Ordered the only size available and disappointed because it's a little big and I love the look and feel of this boot. Oh well...will try to catch it next time but you can't go wrong with this one here. The look is sleek, the wedge is supportive, it's beyond warm and it's waterproof!!! What more can one ask for? Nothing. Excellent shoe from an excellent company ;0)

These are very nice boots. Quality is high. They are light but warm and waterproof. I wish they were a little more fancy. For example - higher wedge and the toe more pointy. And I like the platform. All of the above is great for winter (wedge, warm, platform, waterproof).

Great versatile boot!
I've been looking quite awhile for a casual boot that is versatile and still "cute", not just practical. This boot has just enough of both; it's perfect. I like a heel, and this wedge style gives me the look of the heel, but stable enough for walking in winter weather. The inside is so soft and comfortable. Worth the money, I'll be able to wear this one for the next couple of years.

This was my first time ordering from Zappos and what a GREAT experience. Will definitely order again.
This shoe was wonderful from the get go. No break-in time, I put them on and wore them about 14 hours!!! And they kept my feet warm. Fit was perfect and as stated very comfortable. Lovely shoe.

La Canadienne Isis Boot Is Stylish but a Little Tiring.
Maybe because the heel is tapered and therefore narrows in the area where it hits the pavement, this boot seemed less like a serious walking boot than I thought it might be. When I wore them all day, including during long dashes through two airports, I felt they were slowing me down just a bit. They're always warm, though, and the Isis is more stylish than La Canadienne’s usually are.

A wedgie you'll want to get -
Nothing much to add to what others have said, these are nice looking booties. For a lot of walking I found the foot angle did become uncomfortable after awhile, as any high shoe will, and plan to try adding insoles - but generally they are comfy and fit well. Keepers. :)

So tiny!
I was so looking forward to wearing these after reading the other reviews but I could not even fit my foot into them, much less zip them up. My husband thinks I should try them a full size up but I don't know if I will try them or not.

Eureka! The perfect boot!
I have been searching high and low for the "perfect" boot. That means many things to many people. For me, it means a boot that is tall enough to accommodate the "leg lengthening" (albeit ridiculously long) pant legs of our day, warm & waterproof(for we soccer and ski racer moms out there), and comfortable (anybody else have a pair of stylish yet crippling pointy toed Pradas of years not so far back?). Did I leave out stylish? Where else will you find a winter boot that doesn't appear crafted for wearing to chop wood, or trek through the Himalayas (not that there's anything wrong with that). They felt a little narrow at first, but stretched right out. I tried most of the other La Canadienne, and liked this pair the best.
It may be worth mentioning that Zappos was much more patient with me than most shoe store clerks would have been. Thanks so much!

Super comfy, good arch support, beautiful shoe.
Really looks good and is truly a comfortable boot. The wedge is high but doesn't feel as though it’s uncomfortable at all. The buckle is a cute detail.

Nice, but...
Was very pleased with the look, height and quality of this boot, with one exception: the top of the boot is leaving a black ring on my nylons. I assume it is the black dye on the suede.

LOVE these BOOTS!
First, I LOVE Zappos and their wonderful, amazing, outstanding customer service. Secondly, these boots look fabulous and you can wear them all day. I walk a lot in the city and have been looking for stylish yet comfortable boots and found them with La Canadienne's Isis. They are a tad expensive but worth every penny.
