Love these boots. Very comfortable to wear all day. Great look. Keeps my feet warm. Do need to order half size bigger. Will buy this brand again.

I ordered a half size larger based on the reviews but they were too big. I think these boots run true to size. However, the calf is very tight.\r\n

Elegant, but whose foot is this shape? These boots are heavyweight suede, excellently crafted. The look is sleek and very European. But comfort is not a priority here: the footbed is not much padded, and the shape is other-worldly. If your foot is tube-shaped, like the nose of an anteater, then these are the boots for you; otherwise, try the Naturalizer Maxwell.

Love these boots! The heel is perfect so that it's comfortable to wear them all day, but they look dressy at the same time. I wear them almost daily to work, and also out and about in the city. I think the size may run a bit small. I'm a 6.5, and got a 7, and it's a snug fit. So you may want to get 1/2 size bigger. Have had them for about a month, and am very happy with the purchase. They are warm, comfortable, and seems to be well made, so will probably last a while!

I love these boots. I walk a lot; they are comfortable. Just order this boot half size larger. This brand I have purchased 3 different pairs; they are expensive, but worth it. I need a wide width usually, but this brand works fine in standard width M.

I love these boots! I have very skinny legs/calves and have been searching for a good pair of boots for two years. These are definitely not form-fitting on my legs and there is still some gap between the boots and my calves. But they are still flattering and look good with tights and with jeans tucked into them. The heel is a great height, dressy, yet still very comfortable. I did have to send them back and get a 1/2 size larger, so be sure to order accordingly!

Florida transplant to cold Northeast City - years ago while living in Boston, I purchased a pair of La Canadienne boots and they were the best Ive ever had. Now that Im in a cold climate again, I decided to splurge. They are dressy with a small heel, easy not to slip on an icy/snowy sidewalk, the heel is small enough to be comfortable, yet shaped & stylish. Have not worn them, however, they are comfortable when I tried them on and seem to be true to size. The toe is not too narrow or pointed. Beautiful boots
hopefully they will be comfortable to wear and not need a breaking in period.

These are the best boots in the world! Especially if you have thin calves, though they stretch as well. Waterproof, super comfortable, warm and beautiful. It doesn\\\'t get any better than that. I\\\'ve looked for the perfect, black, tall, comfortable and well-fitting boots my whole life and I\\\'ve finally found them. Follow Zappos sizing suggestions on these. I\\\'m normally a size 7 or 7.5 and I bought an 8 in these and they were perfect. Well worth every penny. Thanks Zappos and La Canadienne!

I purchased 1/2 size larger based on reviews, but found them to be too big. Great experience with return, and find the true sizing to be very comfortable. The calf is narrow, as advertised, and fits my proportions perfectly. Nice looking boots with a skirt, appropriate for work and for play.

These are beautiful boots with a stylish yet comfortable height heel. Unfortunately, they're just too darned narrow. I liked the snug feeling around my calves, but I returned these boots because I was quite certain that my feet would have ended up hurting due to the boot being too narrow across the feet. La Canadienne, are you listening? Lots of customers have made the same complaint. Please make an updated version of this boot, which is sized correctly (and preferably with a higher shaft). I, for one, will buy it next year if the style is fixed.

After reading the reviews of these boots I ordered a half size larger, so a 10 1/2 instead of a 10. They were too big. I really loved the boots, but decided that a 10 would be too uncomfortable because the toe box is quite narrow. I have a medium bordering on narrow foot and the width was fine, but I can understand why some people needed a half size larger. The boots are well made and sharp looking (I got the half patent style) and the heel height is perfect, so I wish they would have worked out, but ultimately I felt the 10 would have been too small. So these boots were not for me.

Gorgeous suede, both to look at and to touch! These boots were extremely comfortable to wear right out of the box. Very flattering cut & practical heel height. The snug calf fit is wonderful for wearing with skirts and dresses.

These boots are stunning and VERY well made! They are worth every penny! Unfortunately for me, the circumference around the calf is too wide for my ultra skinny calves ( 28.5 cm or 11.2 inches at the widest part). When I measured the boot (size 7.5) I measured the circumference at 35.5 cm or 13.98 inches around the top inside of the boot. With jeans or pants these boots would work great but I was specifically needing a pair to wear with skirts and dresses. The price is a bit much to justify keeping them based on how they fit my tiny calves, but I do love them. And Zappos service is the absolute best! The shipping was unbelievably fast and free with free return shipping to boot!

Perfect! Functional, sexy, and comfy. Good for thin legs, fits nice around the top and isn't too loose. Hugs my calf, ankle and foot nicely. Button detail subtly stylish. Heel is perfect height for walking. Beautiful with skirts or dresses in cold weather. Need skinny jeans for tucking or boot-cut to go over the top. Fabulous brand.

Wonderful boots! Comfy, warm and high. They fit nicely around my calves. The heel is perfect: not to high, not too low. I get comments on them all time. I even wear them on chilly or rainy days in the Spring. Next year I want a pair in chocolate in this style or something similar.

Great boot for a narrow calf!
I have a very narrow calf and this boot fit snugly. Surprisingly, it was almost too tight around my ankle. I was able to wear it all day without a break in period. Dorina's simple line is great for work, but the suede gives it a dressy feel with the right clothes.

Love this boot -
I wore these shoes in NYC during a weekend of cold/snowy weather. They were wonderful. My feet stayed dry, warm, and comfortable to entire time. La Canadienne makes the BEST boots. I also own two other pair that I just love!!

Great for narrow calves and feet!
Its normally impossible for me to find boots that fit my narrow feet and calves. In fact, these are the first I own (aside from a pair that lace up so they're adjustable - the timberland hollace boots). There have been a few other brands I have tried on that come close, but they are double the price. This brand seems to be quite good for me! Im not sure why people say it is a half size smaller. I normally wear an 8.5 but went with an 8. I think especially since it is suede, it may even stretch a bit.

Perfect Boot -
Comfortable and attractive, very stylish and sophisticated boot, the heel is just right. The lining is warm but not bulky. The only complaint is the shaft is too short but with longer, below the knee, skirts or dresses it is perfect.
Expensive but worth it.

The Perfect Boot -
What can I say? This boot has it all: style, comfort, and durability. And they're even waterproof! I never thought I'd find a pair of boots that are so perfect for me. I'm a college professor and I'm on my feet, literally, all day. These boots not only look good, they also feel good. They are expensive, but they're worth every penny; especially if you're like me and hate having to sacrifice style for comfort! Vive La Canadienne!!

La Canadienne's Dorina is a great boot. It's not 10/10 sexy but it's cute - good for work and running around. I like the suede but it's a shame it doesn't come in leather. The suede is difficult to keep in good condition and I've only been wearing them for a few weeks now. Apart from the material, the fit is spot on and they are very comfortable. I have a lot of trouble finding boots that are skinny enough to fit my calves (I have 11.5" calves) but these boots fit better than any I have tried on in the past. Overall, I would recommend this boot.

This is my first pair of La Canadiennes. The Dorinas are very comfortable and super cute. I receive compliments from both people I know, and people I don't when I wear them. They seem to run a little big, so I'm wearing a half size smaller even with orthotics (I have narrow feet). The first time I wore them for a full 12 hours with no problems. I have been looking for cute comfortable boots for a long time, and think I may have found the perfect pair. They are waterproof and keep your feet warm, so best for chilly weather.

Comfy and stylish -
Exquisite boot, comfortable enough to walk around in for hours, perfect heel height. The only complaint is the shaft diameter, they're a little tight on my upper calf, and I wish the shaft were a little taller, but I love them. The suede is so perfectly napped; I'm scared to mess them up! Worth every penny.
