These shoes are wonderful! I was needing some new workout shoes very badly and these have exceeded my expectations! They are especially great for over-pronators like myself.

Loved the 1130s, they're replaced by the 1140s. Same great shoe, don't really notice much of a difference (which is a good thing in my opinion)! I've been through about 5 pairs of the 1100 series, great for long training runs! I've run 3 of the last 6 marathons in the 1100 series, they're great. Only have about 60 miles on these 1140s so far, but so far haven't disappointed. Highly recommended!

These shoes are awesome ! I am a tall Texan, and wear an 11. I used to be a Ryka person, but saw an ad in Consumer Reports stating that these Asics had the most cushion, so I bought a pair, and then 2 more since I didn't want to be without an extra. These are the absolute best shoes I have ever worn, and that is coming from a tennis shoe "expert". I helped a friend move the other day, and my feet and joints were not tired at all! Now when was the last time you could say that at the end of the day? And I am 56 years old! Buy these shoes or you'll regret it! (I prefer the leather toe tops. This is one of the few styles that has it.)

I love these shoes. I found them by accident and bought them as an alternative to the Gel Nimbus 9, which I found to be very disappointing after the Gel Nimbus 8. When I had read the Gel-1140 was going to be "upgraded" soon to the Gel-1150, I bought six pairs of the 1140s. It's hard to find running shoes you really love, and "upgrades" aren't always for the better. The heel has a nice cushion and the front offers a stability that I found I missed when I went to a more neutral-cushioned shoe.

I am new to running and really like this shoe. I ran my first 5k in it! I couldn\'t believe how light weight it felt when I first tried it on. Like I had been running with lead weights in my old shoes.

Awesome shoe. I can tell when I need new shoes when my feet ache in the morning. These shoes stopped the pain the first time I wore them. I don\'t think I can wear any other brand from now on. No other shoe provides the support and comfort I need. Well worth the cost. My everyday shoe. I don\'t run at all but do walk a good bit.

A great shoe! I was told by a running company that this Asics Gel was good for someone with a slight pronation- helping to stabilize while at the same time not over-tilting the other non-pronating foot. It does take some adjusting when you run or walk in it for the first time and are not used to a shoe with this kind of support. Also I think it's a very good-looking shoe! And thanks to Zappos who delivered the shoe in less than 24 hours to my doorstep...for free!

Fantastic fit from the second I put them on! Ended up buying two pairs. Previously wore nothing but Saucony's, but couldn't get a great fit with the newer Saucony's. So Asics it will be for years to come. Great cushioning and feel.

These are by far the best sneakers I've ever owned. I recently got into running and these shoes have taken me through training for a 5k, then a 10k; perhaps a 1/2 marathon is next? I have particularly high arches, and with an athletic insole, I have never strained my foot. They're also stylish enough that you can just wear them while running errands, and be super comfortable during the day. You will be so happy with your investment in these shoes.

I'm wearing them in the marathon -
These are my San Diego Rock 'n Roll marathon shoes. For 4 months of training, they have not given me one blister and all I get is tired, not sore, after long walks (I'm a walker, not a runner). Excellent shoes. I'm excited to see they come in other colors (I have the blue ones). I will be buying these.

I crushed my foot a year ago and can no longer wear heels or slip-ons. I bought a pair of Asics Gels after a co-worker mentioned that her aunt wears them due to a heel injury. I am so glad that I purchased Asics Gels, they are so comfortable and I have no pain. This will be the only shoe that I purchase from now on!!

I love these shoes -
I'm not a person that wears tennis shoes a lot and I've become one thanks to these shoes. They are so comfortable. Whenever I have them on I almost feel like breaking into a run. First pair of tennis shoes that I actually love to wear.

Best so far -
I need orthotics and have some Plantar Fasciitis and the gel liner helps to partially lessen the heel pain. They are the best so far, but I would like to have the option of some more casual and/or dressy shoes that fit as well and feel as good.

Always consistent -
Asics has been my running shoe brand of choice for many years, and this one doesn't change that. Asics has offered this model for some time, each year with an updated look and product number, and I've bought -- and have worn out -- at least three or four successive pairs. The support is excellent, they wear well, and I especially like the wide, open toe box. I do the majority of my running and walking on a treadmill.

Great running shoe -
I consider myself an avid runner who just doesn't get to do it as much as I'd like - I typically run 5-6 miles at a time, but only get out about 3 or 4 times a week, and these shoes are perfect for the type of mileage. Great deal of support - usually I blister and take awhile to wear in a running shoe, but this one was super comfortable already my first time out. Really a cute shoe, too, great color & look!

Great shoe for someone with flat and wide feet like mine. I’ve for years been using shoes that don’t give me enough support while running only because the ones that do just plain hurt or have an arch support that digs into your foot because it’s too much for flat feet. Thought that these were pretty true to size and despite having wide feet, the normal width (B) fit me just fine. Very pleased with them. Really wish they had better colors though. These shoes don’t look of this decade - but the functionality makes them worth it.

This shoe is comfortable and true to fit. I have bought Asics in the past and needed to go up a whole size. Not this time. I bought this in a wide and it is comfortable.

True to size and function -
Just started running, and this is a functional and reasonably priced shoe for someone with flat feet and ankle problems. These have helped IMMENSELY with reducing overuse injuries in my ankles.

Awesome running shoe!
I was a little nervous about ordering running shoes online, but after they arrived (much earlier than I expected!) and I put them on, I am a happy camper. These are awesome shoes - no kidding! Perfect fit, perfect sizing. They are very comfortable and make my foot feel secure when I am running. I even feel like they improved my balance a bit. I would recommend these shoes to anyone!
