Finally! 4E shoes that are actually made for wide feet. Most "wide width" shoes are made with a taper to the toe, but, thankfully, these have a rounded toe. I'm buying several more pair before they are gone. Arch support leaves a bit to be desired but that can be fixed with a good pair of inserts. Incidentally, I bought the same shoes in black/grey and they were significantly narrower so I sent them back. I love Zappos and won't buy shoes anywhere else.

This is a good looking and a wide shoe that really fits without having to go half size up. Also, lightweight feel about them and one of the few shoes I wear without socks, still comfy.

These are the only shoes my son wore at sleep away camp this summer. They are fantastic and honestly made his summer so much easier not having to worry about his shoes holding up for the entire time! They got wet and sandy and soggy and rained on and dragged through the mud and on sailboats and never failed him! They dried in the sun and stood up through it all!

I love New Balance first of all as they are the only shoe manufacturer still in the U.S.. Secondly, most of my long distance hiking friends (read; people who hike thousands of miles!) swear by New Balance. This shoe follows in the tradition that New Balance has set as a tough, well constructed, light weight, breathable, well-supported trail shoe.

I've been wearing exclusively New Balance athletic shoes for 10 years since my feet are wide. This model didn't provide enough support, so I immediately had to put in inserts. The shoe felt flimsy to me, but I thought I'd try them. Then the material began to wear out in 2 weeks. I returned them. As always, I'm happy with Zappos' service.

I have to come at the purchase of shoes carefully. I am both 300+ lbs and have wide feet, but still have a fairly high arch. Most shoes lack the cushioning and support, but the MT609s have worked out very well. The shoes give great support of my foot without feeling like they are squeezing it numb. The 4E wide have been good, with a little extra coverage at the ball of my foot, which has been problematic in the past. The arch support is not good, but this has only been an issue when I am walking or on my feet for long stretches of the day. I have no problem recommending these shoes.

I plan to return these because they seem to run a little small. I am really a 15.5, but a 15 is usually the right size for me in a running shoe, but this was a bit snug. I opted for another shoe, rather than trying a 16. Other than that, great looking sneaker.

Our son has a very difficult time finding shoes to fit. These shoes had a perfect instep, right width and length; they truly are a 4E. He uses them to run PT in the Army and says these are the best fit of any shoe. He says the traction and grip is great for running on any surface. (He was so impressed with this shoe that he called us at 5:10 in the morning to rave about the fit when he finished his first run wearing them.)

It\'s a good shoe that fits well. It\'s a bit lighter and lower-cut on the ankles than expected, but that\'s good for running. It\'s better for athletics than looks.

So far, so good. Bought the previous model and loved them. I wear orthodics (doctor prescribed due to plantar facaitis (sp?)) and New Balance has always fit the best. I like the wider base in the front of the shoe as well as the even heel. I tend to wear out the outside of the heel faster with the orthodics and the heel on this shoe helps compensate by keeping me more to the inside. I but shoes from Zappos twice a year. You cannot beat the selection and SERVICE!

The shoe fits great. What I really like about this specific shoe is that the top part of the shoe is made of a mesh like material that will stretch to match your foot. This is very important to me because I have big size 14 feet and I need a lot of toe room. I have been wearing variations of this model for over three years now and have not been disappointed even once.

Bought these shoes to replace my Adidas running shoes as I like to jog on my lunch hour. As my work is on the outskirts and mostly desert terrain I thought they would be a good fit. The shoe fit was perfect and I like the overall style. The quality in craftsmanship is not. I had these for three months and they have worn excessively by the upper shoelace eyelet. They don't provide the impact resistance as my Adidas did. Tried them out on a trail hike in Colorado they provided a sure grip but I still could not get over the lack of impact resistance which ended up wearing me out much sooner. I guess you pay for what you get. As always Zappos has been great in offering to take these shoes back despite no fault of their own.

The New Balance MT609 shoes have great traction and look great with the gray and striking yellow emblem...I love the New Balance line in that they offer me many choices in the extra (4E) width...along with the great customer service you know you have two great companies on your side looking after you!!!

Great Look, sore feet -
Maybe it’s just my feet, but I feel like these shoes aren't quite supportive enough. Get an achy feeling whenever I wear them for athletic purposes for more than 1/2 an hour. I'm still going to give them a shot though. I love the look of them and they feel good when they're on, just think they need to be a little more supportive - maybe go with a higher NB number. .. ? . .?

It's a New Balance so how bad could it be, very light weight and looks great on.

These sandals are the best! I bought them for my 4 y/o boy and 2 y/o girl. They wore them every single day for 6 months straight. My kids loved to wear them everywhere - beach, park, sprinklers, bike riding, etc. even on the hottest days. Best of all, I knew their little feet were protected, especially their toes! They received lots of compliments and we definitely got our money's worth.BTW, YES, they are washable. (And please don't spray lysol on your child's shoes!) I find that any shoe gets smelly when a child wears them without socks. I would pop these in the wash on gentle cold cycle, and let them air dry in morning sun (they would dry completely in less than 2 hours). Voila! Smell is gone.

Pros: durable, stable on the trails, doesn't show dirt easily. Cons: bigger than I thought, not a whole lot of cushy material in the soles (the upside is these shoes are very orthotic friendly).

Most comfortable to date...
My other shoes were worn out from working out and my feet were beginning to kill me all day long. I did research on ZAPPOS.COM and decided to give these a try. They have eliminated my pain, breath very well, and are great to do everything in; not just workout.
Also, I have received compliments on the looks of these bad boys.
I would recommend these to anyone.

Great Hiking Sneakers -
In 20+ years of hiking these are the most comfortable trail sneakers that I have ever worn. My feet felt great after a recent 17 mile hike.
