These shoes are not as comfortable as they look. I wore this shoe to work, where I am on my feet all day. I found that my heels began to ache towards the last couple of hours of my shift. This did not usually happen with my old shoes. After adding a proper in-sole, I found that it helped this problem. The sole of the shoe is incredibly slip resistant. Also, in the regular width, this shoe is a half size bigger than I had thought. The leather on the shoe is a lot softer than I thought too. Overall I didn't think they were worth the price, but I am mostly satisfied.

Comfort & Support -
I have worn the Wolverine Dura Shock soles in work shoes and Wellington boots and I've been well pleased with the support and comfort. The Marcum slip-on is no exception. I am an ex-firefighter with permanent injuries, including one to my right foot. I'm retraining in the Culinary field and our lab days are long and active. The look is OK, generic compared to my Red Backs, but I can wear the Marcum all day, whereas, a couple of hours in the Red Backs or Carolinas is painful. They run a bit snug in the EE sizes. The non-slip sole works well in the kitchen. Great kitchen work shoe, Wolverine needs to be aggressive with marketing these to restaurant employees as they are perfect for the back and front of the house use. I'll definitely buy the Marcum again.

 | | I love your Company and have ordered several things. I am dealing with kidney cancer and am always looking for red shoes to make me feel happy when I am getting chemo. You have always been able to help me. Your staff is amazing and last month I ordered a pair of red sandals and just recently received a box filled with little gifts to make anyone feel better. Your team member also sent me your 2008 Culture Book with a beautiful note. I have been reading all the uplifting notes that many people wrote in the book and can't believe that there are so many wonderful people out there. I also worked for a company who had core values that we all had to follow, but when I got cancer, this health company did nothing to help me through this time. They recently stopped my disability because they said they only allow two years. I am now going to live on my social security of $1,400.00 per month. I sent the CEO a letter requesting an extension and was told they have done all they could for me. My Chemo pill alone costs $6,000.00 per month and I have to stay on the expensive Cobra so that I can get it. Soon that too will expire. I just know that I have such high regard for your company and Zappos. Thank you for being who you are and I wish I was close to Las Vegas to visit your place and thank everyone personally. I am a person of true faith and I always try to smile and get through the days. It really helps. Thank you again, God Bless, Louise M. | | ~ Louise M., August 31 2009
