I ordered these because I saw them on Uncrate (one of my favorite websites). Kevin Rose has a pair, and being the geek I am, couldn't hold back my credit card. Since getting them, I've gotten lots of compliments! Sleek style, goes good with anything. They're pretty comfortable. It took a couple of weeks to really get them worn in, but now they now have become one of my staples. Four stars!

The center material was a weird mesh that I did not expect from pictures. That is the biggest downside to these shoes. The mesh creases a bit easily and keeps the crease for a few days. Otherwise I love the look, and especially love the tongue on the shoe.

The short tongue was a little bit hard to get used to, since I am used to wearing the classic Sambas (meant for indoor soccer). But these wore in great, and are now pretty comfortable after a week of wear, and they look pretty cool.

Overall, I liked these shoes, and the reason I got them was because I was obsessed with Starsky and Hutch (I didn’t have enough money for the SL76s). The only complaint is that the tongue slides over to the side even when they are tied, but they are awesome shoes!

Clearly, these shoes are smoking hot. That said, I was surprised to find that their sole is not that soft. I was looking for something reminiscent of a Samba, with cooler colors, that retro look, and more cushion in the heel to help my troubled knees. The sole on these is more like tire rubber than foam rubber. Not soft. Great shoes, just not soft. Sambas, Gazelles, you name it, they're all softer.

Shoes were nice. Love the color. Wider foot people beware, but they will break in soon. Thinking about getting another color of them.

Adidas Original SL 72 -
I waited for this shoe to become available because it was the ONLY sneaker I could find that I liked (aesthetically). Unfortunately, it is not comfortable at all. I continue to wear the sneakers, in hopes that with more wear they will become more comfortable. They are not AS uncomfortable as they were in the beginning, but they are still not very comfortable--a big disappointment for someone who desperately needed new sneakers and wears them daily, it was a huge disappointment.

Great Shoe!
They fit pretty well for the most part, but the width is a little narrower than I would have liked. It isn't too bad though. Also, they have very little padding on the sides around the ankle so a pair of thicker socks might be appropriate.

Little worried at first -
When I first opened the box and looked at the sole of the shoe, I was a little scared. I thought the arch of the shoe was going to be way too narrow. Even after I tried it on, I was still skeptical. However, I loved the look of the shoe and I decided to try them on for a day anyway. Glad I did. Great look, great fit, and comfortable. I have no complaints! Buy the shoe, just don't wear them around me!

Love these sneakers!
These shoes were perfect from start to finish. I’ve barely taken them off since buying them! They are lightweight, stylish, and comfortable! I get tons of compliments on them and would recommend them and Zappos to anyone! Such quick delivery and great results every time! I ordered down a half size, since adidas tends to run a tiny bit bigger than other brands.

A Kid Again -
Love the sneaker! Brings me back to when I was a kid. Not the most comfortable, but worth it for the look. Fit is great and cushioning is fine, but it has little arch support for those who need it. Overall I love these!!!

Good looking, a little stiff -
Great looking shoe. It's a little bit stiff, but I may need to soften it up by wearing more. The insole bed is kinda sticky - my socks stick to it as I'm putting them on, making it tough to quickly slide on the shoes...takes a little bit of work. These all might go away with further use. Also, the sides around the ankle are a little high; they rub on my ankle a little bit. Good looking shoes, tho.

Great shoes -
I tried two sizes of shoes, and ended up keeping the ones that were a half size larger than my measured foot size (I also do this with Nikes). I'm honestly not perfectly happy with the size, but my normal size was simply too tight of a fit. These shoes will take a while to break in (as other reviewers noted), but I am very happy with the style. I love the stripe at the bottom!

Classic Adidas don't disappoint -
I've had a lot of disappointments with shoes that just don't seem to fit right, squeak, or fall apart quickly, but these SL72s were perfect. I swear by anything from the Adidas Originals line, and these shoes hold up well. There's a reason why they've been so popular for so many years. Definitely recommended.

Great looking shoe. Needs to be broken in. Has started squeaking a little when walking - hopefully will go away.

I've got wider feet, so these will take a little while to break in, but they seem pretty comfortable as of right now. They are slightly squeaky still, but that should go away with another week of wear (I hope). Great fit.

So retro -
At first they feel narrow but after I wore them a while they feel great. They are so cute. I sometimes wear a size 5 1/2 and sometimes a 6; in these shoes I got a 6.

Great shoes!
I am a fan of Adidas Originals, and these shoes have yet to disappoint! They look cool; the fango/aluminum/slime is subtle, but just flashy enough for people to compliment. They take a bit of breaking in because the sole is very stiff rubber, but they are incredibly comfortable. My feet are 12.5 wide, and a 13 fits perfect!
