Look good, but squeak. I have now owned 3 pairs of these shoes (replaced by the company) and every pair has begun to squeak when I walk (1st pair after 3-4 months, 2nd pair in 2 months, 3rd after a few weeks). I'm surprised I don't see constant complaints about this.

Super Painful -
The shoe fit fine for the first week or so. The heel wore out very fast, and a hole starting to form in the shoe as well. I use the shoe a lot; however, the last set of Bostonians that I owned lasted nearly three years! Before I saw any noticeable wear. These set gave out within a few months. Overall: This shoe wore out too fast.

Perfect special occasion shoe -
I bought this show to wear at my wedding, so it had to be special. It did not disappoint me, especially since I've bought Bostonian's in the past and have always been pleased. Having size 15 feet, it's important to find comfort, and I did with this shoe.

I bought these shoes based on the posted reviews and the style and am sorry I did. They do "look" very nice, but "feel" like plastic. I wear them approx 2-3 times a week, it's been 4 months and they are still not that comfortable. The edges of the heels wore quickly and look tacky since the black wore off exposing the very light color material underneath. Today, on the bus, I noticed that the sole has split apart on the left shoe. Also, the heels click quite loudly on hard floors. Everyone hears me coming and I am a pretty soft walker! I will definitely NOT be buying Bostonians again!

I ordered it because I needed 3EE. Thinking that it wouldn't be true to size I ordered 4EE. I was wrong. This shoe is true to form. I could have easily gotten away with my correct size. A very nice looking shoe and comfortable.

Bostonian Tahoe Shoe -
As always, I am extremely happy with the Bostonian brand of shoe. The fit, the comfort, and the classy look of the Bostonian Tahoe are all in line with any of their styles I have worn. Also, the fast, efficient processing of my order from Zappos was, as usual, professional and pleasing.

Good for women too!
I confess that I'm a woman with size 8 feet and I bought these in size 6 because it's nearly impossible to find classic understated shoes for women these days. The look and fit are great and so far I'm quite pleased.

The shoe is wider than I anticipated, and I have found when I lace it up tight, the leather at the bottom of the tongue on the top of the shoe wrinkles. I appreciate being able to find shoes in a large size with an assortment to choose from. Very few local stores carry 13 wide and they only have one maybe two styles at most. Unfortunately it's hard to know just how each brand of shoes will be cut whether wide or narrow without trying on that particular shoe.

I have loved the Tahoe for a long while. I have had issues getting this shoe as it seems always to be out of stock or nearly out of stock. In this case I got the last 14D in stock. Overall I love the look and feel of the shoe. It broke in quickly and that new shoe tightness relaxed after the first full day of wear. I consistently pick the models with the skid pad in the ball region of the shoe. This is a consistent performer and a good value. The skid pad versions in my experience are more durable and the sole lasts at least 50% longer than the leather pads. Longevity is a key buying point for me and this shoe passes muster.

Comfortable shoe; one of those you get attached to and never want to be discontinued. Has a classy dressy banker look.

I bought this shoe because a previous pair of Bostonian oxfords had worn out after several years. Although this pair seems like it has a bit more cushion, the leather seems a bit more plastic-like than my earlier pair. It just seems like a cheaper shoe than my previous pair, but overall it is still sufficient for my needs.

Not very durable.
I remember when Bostonian shoes were extremely durable. These shoes needed new heels after a handful of wearings and the leather upper has cracked at the crease point after about 3 months.

Good shoe-
One of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn-really soft leather and lining. Also, the rubber strip under the ball of the foot helps with traction and cuts down on the noise of leather soles. Plus it has lasted a long time on my pair. For the price I don’t really see any downside to this shoe and I’ve been wearing mine for approx 2 years off and on. Oh-waxes up really nice too. I am an attorney and wear these to court and several others have complimented this shoe.

Sort of disappointed -
I have walked into Bostonian shoes for years and they have fit nicely and had very little if any break in or adjustment. This pair, however, is terrible. I am not sure if it is this pair specifically or all of them but they are not comfortable and not adjusting to my feet at all.

Great Dress Shoe!
The narrow size fits my feet comfortably. I have a "B" width with a narrow heel, and really appreciate it when a shoe fits so well. I also like the anti-skid piece on the bottom of the shoe.

I have a wide foot and these in wide fit comfortably - true to size. Like one of the other comments, they did pinch slightly on the toes but being leather softened up after some use.

Nice shoe, great service. Would have preferred shoe one size narrower, but not offered in desired color. Both shoes squeaked quite a bit at first, but have stopped now that I have worn a short while.

Not too shabby!
I got the Tahoe in brown just a couple weeks ago, and it is the best looking shoe I've ever owned. I would prefer a little more arch support; however, they are very comfortable when compared to most shoes I've worn. They're taking quite a while to break in, but I would definitely buy them again. In fact; I am thinking about ordering another pair of Bostonians in black, and of course only through the best online shoe supplier - Zappos!
