These are fantastic.
My 4-year-old has been wearing these out all summer, but they don't look worn out! The leather wears very well. It will change with wear, however, from a light maple brown to a dark brown (just like the strap of a Louis Vuitton purse). These shoes look spiffy on - they can withstand serious wear and tear (can still be handed down to my second son, currently 1) and yet can dress up shorts and a T-shirt. Easy-on, easy-off. Love them. Of course when it comes to kid’s shoes, it's hard to tell from mom’s Zappos reviews about arch support or comfort, but am assuming they're very comfortable as I've heard no complaints and seen no rubbing or blisters. Another very, very happy Zappos customer. There are many other sites trying to copy Zappos right now, but Zappos simply has more shoes from which to choose and the others don't have either this extensive review system or FREE overnight shipping and returns like Zappos.

Petit shoes are NOT for chubby feet.
If your child has chubby feet with a high instep... AVOID FALLING IN LOVE WITH THIS AMAZING SHOE. They are perfect: super cute and elegant, very well made and soft but resistant, non slippery sole.
On top of everything, Zappos service is outstanding.

I turned to you for service because you have been so prompt and friendly with my previous orders. My latest order was somewhat urgent because I use a toaster oven for most of my hot meal preparations and my 10 year old machine suddenly burned out. I was willing to wait for a ground shipment of 3-4 days, but no, not only did you have the
item I needed in stock, but you e-mailed me that it will be priority shipped just because you like me as a customer! Jeez, make me feel special. Not only have I educated my friends and family how awesome you are, I just posted a notice on our company viewing board (7,500 employees) touting your services.
