Since I am writing a book, I spend most of my time with my computer and my Zappos boots. They are perfect for comfort and warmth, and are still sturdy and handsome enough for a short jaunt to the grocery store if need be.

The toes were initially too tight, but gradually loosened to a somewhat comfortable fit. The heel was very loose; thus a clunky, naked-heel-lifting gait which just has no place in my life. I could try a size smaller, but I think the toe area might not be as forgiving. The wool gives me problems; it's not as blatantly itchy as some sweaters made with lambs wool, but after a while I get these freakish spasms all over that are my body reacting objectionably to something. Really gets under my skin, so to speak. If you have issues with regular wool sweaters you might react to these. ("Merino wool" made me think these would be alright, oh well.) I will say that the wool seems to grow thicker and envelope your foot once you've put them on, which is nice. I'm going to guess this isn't the shearling/lambskin experience had from other brands. I just want softness! And form fitting comfort!

I LOVE these. I wanted real uggs, but they don't make a mens version this short. Looks GREAT with bootcut jeans, not tucked in of course, guys just shouldn't do that ever. Suuuper comfy, and keeps my feet toasty.

Excellent!!!!
I loved these Uggs. Perfect fit, goes great with pants, over and under them, very comfortable. Also looks good with very short skirts.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: The next taller Uggs.

Runs about a size smaller than marked and has narrow opening -
I bought these as a Christmas gift for my grandfather, who normally wears a 10.5. I ended up returning them for a 12. The ankle is also fairly narrow and doesn't unzip or have a notch in it, so that was an issue with the smaller size. While I can't truly rate this shoe, as I'm not the wearer, he seems to love them. Also, Zappos service was exemplary, as then upgraded my shipping on the larger size before I'd even returned the original pair.

Toes too tight -
I spent a lot of time trying to locate a pair of slippers that went above the ankle for my husband, so I was thrilled to finally find something that fit the bill. They are durably constructed and the inside wool is very thick. However, my husband found the toes too tight...there was too much pressure against the toes. The slippers fit perfectly everywhere else. I think a narrower foot would love these.

Winter inside shoe -
I bought this shoe for winter use inside the house and quick trips to garage and mailbox. Flat bottom with little tread and no arch support. Best for just sitting around or relaxing.
