Very comfortable after initial "breaking in". Not quite as narrow as expected, but otherwise true to size. Nice looking and so far it keeps water out. Would definitely recommend it.

My feet remained dry even when walking across damp battlefields. However, I found the arch inadequate, and when I used an insert, the tops of my feet felt squashed if I tightened the laces, and my heels slipped out if I loosened them.

The New Balance 966 shoes are a great walking shoe. I walked all day around London and the English countryside every day for over a week in these shoes, and they were great! The shoes are comfortable and supportive. I thought the fit was true to size. Would like to see a black color offered.

NB WW966 waterproof low hiker -
Shoe runs very narrow - had to order an EE when I normally wear a D. The insert is removable so I can replace with my orthodics. Shoe wears well and is comfortable. This is my second pair. NB Quality is poor - I had to order 3 pairs before I got a good pair without defect and that both shoes matched.

These shoes are very comfortable! I like that they are water resistant. I usually wear a 7AA and ordered that size. I forgot that in New Balances I always need one half size larger. The 7 1/2 AA fit perfectly. It is so nice to find shoes in narrow sizes. My spouse has a pair and also likes them. We would both recommend them.

Off road walkers -
This shoe is nice looking and if it weren't somewhat tight it would probably have fit a lot more comfortable. I should have broken them in with short walks rather than do a long walk on hilly terrain for my first time.

Way too narrow!
I love New Balance and the size is usually pretty consistent with a Wide being my normal choice. However, I ordered an Extra Wide in this shoe and it was still too tight in the toe-box.

I always wear the same size in New Balance, and have been wearing them for years. I ordered these hoping for more of the same (comfort!). The body of the shoe is cut differently than others. The back rises up, and the tongue of the shoe poked uncomfortably into my ankle. The shoes are stiff; likely because they are waterproof.
I wear orthotics and despite their 1" thickness felt like this shoe was swallowing my foot.

This is a comfortable shoe. I disagree with other reviewers who suggest ordering a larger size than usual. I did so and had to return it and order my usual size.

True New Balance -
This is a great shoe and water proof to boot :) The heel is a bit wide and tends to slip but all of hard to fit people know how to fix that! Easily accommodates orthodics. Looks great, however, this particular pair seemed to have stains or left over glue smeared on some of the seams.

These are my second pair of Old Gringos and they did not disappoint! I do have to admit that the rich black color of the boot on the Zappos was inaccurate. The boots have a bit of an aged, cracked look, so the color is almost a very dark gray as opposed to a very rich black. Irregardless, I kept the boot because they are beautiful. Well-made and comfortable. For my foot, these where true to size. I expect these boots as well as my other pair (Elvis Embroidery) to last for years. I always recommend Old Gringo.

Great for winter -
I bought the predecessor to this model last winter for running to school, errands, etc. I found I was wearing them a LOT, so I bought a second pair for this winter. They are great for muck, light snow, etc.

I wore these when they were brand new when I completed the 5K Walk for the Cure in October. They were very comfortable throughout the walk.

Extremely Comfortable!
I just received these yesterday and immediately tried them on. They were comfortable right out of the box! I was amazed. I had been searching for a shoe that I could wear on my ranch that could withstand walking in dirt, gravel, pastures, etc. and I found it! I have WIDE feet and suffer from edema and have a really hard time finding anything that is comfortable and this shoe was! I purchased the WW width in a half size larger than I normally would wear, New Balance seems to run short to me, but ordering a half size large made the fit perfect. It's not the cutest shoe in the world, but works for the outdoors!
