Love these boots and so does my grandson! I have average to narrow feet and these fit, plus I still have plenty of room for heavy socks. My grandson borrowed these to hunt in and they kept him dry and toasty. I use them to walk my dogs and I cross a creek every day. Buy 'em; you won't be sorry!

I bought these for work in Antarctica. So far, so good, although I am getting used to wearing boots that hit so high on my shin. I will take them down to the ice in October, lets hope they do as well there as they have here in Alaska.

She loves them...
Bought them as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend...started snowing before Christmas and I couldn't wait to give them to her. She loves them...very comfortable, warm, perfect height, not too bulky. Great boot.

This is my 2nd pair of Fat Baby's and these are the cutest yet! My husband and I ride a Harley Fat Boy and these are my riding boots. They are comfortable right out of the box, no break in needed. I can hardly wait to show them off!

Great snow boots -
Just got these and wore them for a week in the Colorado mountains in Jan. Kept me warm and dry on the snow pack while being comfortable enough to run around town in.

I ordered six pairs of boots from Zappos, which I do almost every winter knowing I will only be able to keep one pair. (I love Zappos!!!) This boot definitely isn't the one. Admittedly, I'm demanding of my boots, and use them harder than most people. I rely on the technical characteristics of the boots I buy to keep me warm. Since a good pair of boots is necessary gear and not just a fashion accessory, I'm fairly critical, especially when a boot says North Face. I also have a fairly good idea that I need a size 10 when I order winter boots. Here's a quick run-down of my impressions of this boot. Pros: Attractive color and pattern (brown and Cosmos pink), comfortable footbed, and doesn't look too bulky for a snow boot. Cons: Expensive (for what it is), runs a half size small and is sloppy through the ankles, even when the laces are cinched. Feels like a wide. Webbing holding the middle section of the boot laces is extremely flimsy. As a person who would be doing a lot of tightening of the laces, I give the webbing about a week before it starts tearing out. Unrealistic temperature rating. As a professional guide and naturalist who spends lots of time on skis, snowshoes or standing around looking for wildlife in subzero temps, I own boots for every type of winter activity. I have a major problem with my extremities getting cold and there is no way the rating that comes with these boots (-40) could be accurate. There simply is not enough insulation. Summary: Good enough for temps to -10 (my guess), but since this boot has a plastic shell with gore-tex, and has a non-removable lining, keep in mind your feet will sweat and you'll be cold eventually even at those temps. This boot would be fine for apres-ski use, but don't expect it to stand up to repeated hard use in very cold temps. Sorry North Face, not up to snuff for your label.
