Very nice shoe. The sole is not as thick as some of their boots and is lighter and more comfy. Very nice colored leather. Good fit and just great all around shoe.

Very comfortable shoe -
The moment I put them on, my feet felt like they were taking a break from my work shoes. It was more like wearing a sneaker with a cushioned insole. They also were different from the normal Doc shoe with the lower profile soles. Wear with jeans or khakis, either way it's versatile and looks good. I would certainly buy these again.

I expected nothing less...
I broke these in in about 4 hours. Even then, I wouldn't call it a "true breaking in". They are very comfortable right off the bat! There is a spot near my pinky toe that rubbed a little, but never caused any problems. They look great, feel great and look forward to using these as long as I have had my other Dr. M's. (7 years).
As always, Zappos shipping was top notch...best out there!

8B80 Review -
Good fit. Color (peanut) was much lighter than what I expected, but ok. Leather was also not the typical "softer" leather I've been accustomed to with Docs. I dressed them with mink oil to soften up the look a bit, which provided the preferred slightly darker color as well.

I've worn Docs exclusively since the early 90s. These shoes are great. No break in was necessary as with the traditional 3 eyes. I am in year three with this set and they are still doing well. Still using the original laces and the soles still have tread left.

Give the Dr. Marten 8B80 a try.
I wanted something different as it seems every store is starting to sell these Born, Clarks, and Skechers. I wore Dr. Marten boots 10 years ago and my only complaint back then was the insole wasn't very comfortable. However, they have corrected that issue in this model. They have re-envisioned casual, everyday footwear and whether you like their boots or not, you'll really like these shoes. I wear a 10 ½ and gave a size 10, even though the size guide recommends going up a size. At first these shoes were tight, but not tight in the length, but in the height inside the toe box of the shoe. However, as I wore these shoes more and more, they really broke in well and now are even more comfortable than my Borns, Clarks, Ecco, Nike Air Max, or New Balance. They're not overly dressy, you won't be wearing these with any dress slacks, but they go well with any khaki or denim and due to the outsole, they're comfortable and rugged enough to make you believe you can go hiking in them. Best thing is you receive comfort that is superior to other Dr. Martens, but in a package that doesn't look like you just completed a tour of duty with a platoon or like all the Born, Clarks, Skechers people standing next to you in line at the grocery store.

These shoes are one of the best shoes I own. I own four pairs of Docs and these are one of the best. The sole isn't too big, like on my sandals, so I don’t look like a giant. Break in period is very small, I have a feeling these shoes will feel the same, if not better, two years from now.

It only took 1 day to "break them in." But after the first day, they felt like I have had them for years. If there is only 1 complaint I have, it would be the lack of arch support. Otherwise, this is a very comfortable shoe that looks really nice.

Another Great Buy!
As always ordering from Zappos was an excellent experience. Originally my size was not available, but I signed up to be alerted when my size would become available and Zappos did not disappoint. They are really nice. I love them. These shoes are some of the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn, without sacrificing any style.

Great shoe... most of the time -
Great in everything but slippery conditions (ice, snow, etc).
Problems with my foot keep me in wide-toe shoes like these. This is by far the most comfortable pair of shoes I've worn to date.

I have owned this style of DM's for about 8 months now, and they are still my favorite shoes ever!! The comfort level is premium- as I spend all day on my feet and are perfect for walking, casual, or dress. In fact, I still find myself looking down at my feet and thinking 'what great shoes these are!' :) I also like that when I tie the shoes, there is no looseness or slack after I pulled the laces- I believe its due to a combination of the flat laces with the extra material at the uppermost eyelet drawing the shoe nicely together in the middle of foot. I needed no break-in time.
Other shoes recommended by reviewer: Doc Martens, Skechers for look- not comfort.

Nice shoe -
I bought these for my husband and he was really happy with them-he only wears Dr. Marten shoes. He said it took a couple days to break them in-kinda hurt his heel for a day or two but that’s typical with Docs. They seem to hold up well considering he is very tough on his shoes. Overall very happy with them and worth the money.

Dr. Martens good for what ails you -
What a nice looking shoe. My 20 yr. old son picked these shoes out and he was very happy with them. If you love the smell of good leather and the rich, luggage look of leather, this is the shoe for you. Very versatile too. Good for hanging around and great for a casual dress look. So glad he has finally moved from the sneakers only look.

They do feel like they are running large but thick socks can easily fix that problem. Not as dressy as I would have liked, but very doable for work and especially great for days I have to work and travel. Great airport shoes- comfortable, easy to slip off and great traction if I need to run for the gate! Glad that Doc Marten is finally getting a little more stylish and work oriented.

Shoes fit well, but scuff easily. Color is much more red than picture shows, but still nice looking. Good fit for wider feet.

Great Dr. Marten's Shoe -
I have had these shoes for about 9 months and are my fourth pair of Dr. Marten's. I wear them everyday to work and everywhere else. They are comfortable and kind on the feet after a full day of walking around. My only criticism is that the soles are about shot (not just the heel). It may be just a trade off for Dr. Marten's comfort or maybe I walk more than I thought.
