These boots are great! I researched a lot of different styles before buying, and I think these are the best around. The color looks good with just about everything and they are also very comfortable from day one. As always, Zappos was wonderful to deal with. I exchanged my boots after noticing some of the stitching was coming out of one of them. They sent me another pair and let me decide which one I wanted to keep. Amazing customer service!

Wow, I love these boots! They are the most expensive pair of shoes that I have ever bought and I don't regret it for a minute. They are worth every single dollar! The boots look great, feel great. I have even gotten compliments on them from complete strangers when I've been wearing them. They are a lot more comfortable than I would have thought.

Beautiful, but narrow. I was so excited to find a beautiful, quality pair of cowboy boots. And I was even more thrilled to see these were offered in a wide width. Unfortunately, these boots in the C width are far less than comfortable and are not wide compared to other shoes I've purchased in this width. Sad to send them back! Those of you with narrow feet will love these!

I didn't buy these boots when I first saw them and then regretted it. I ordered them online from a western store and when they arrived, they were defective. I sent them back and ordered them here; I think I received them in a day or two. These are the most comfortable boots that I have ever worn and everyone loves them. I get a lot of compliments. These boots are very "in" right now, but I would have bought them anyway. I have a narrow foot; these fit great and they have great arch support. Other people that I have talked to who own them have also said that they are comfortable to wear for a long length of time, right out of the box. Don't even need to break them in!

These boots are amazing. Fit very true to size. They look like they will be narrow but do not fit that way. I love the leather sole. A bit of a splurge, but I think I will get many years of wear out of these boots.

The tan mad dog goatskin (N4540) has a beautiful rich honey color, is of extremely high quality/craftsmanship, has beautiful detailing, buttery soft leather, is comfortable and stylish (feminine but still look like authentic kick butt cowboy boots). I ordered this boot the same day that I received the brown ones (my first pair of cowboy boots ever). I had done a ton of research before finally ordering the Mad dog brown goatskin Lucchese N4554. And just like with the brown, I received the tan the very next day (free shipping, thanks Zappos!). I could not be happier with the tan boots. They are stunners as well. The beautiful honey color can be worn with anything. They are amazing boots. As far as fit, my normal size is an 8 and I ordered an 8 in the boots and they fit perfect. I have a high instep (top of foot) and so was worried about being able to get the boot on, but absolutely no problems. They truly fit like a glove and are light and extremely comfortable to wear. I cannot imagine purchasing anything other than Lucchese boots. Thanks Lucchese for making such beautiful boots and thank you again Zappos for having such a great selection to choose from and for such great customer service.

I never thought I would find this boot in my size, but Zappos had them in stock and shipped them overnight at no charge. The boots are great: the fit, the leather, the styling. Highly recommended.

This boot is pretty narrow compared to other cowboy boots. However, the leather stretches and they are comfortable. I'm not sure if Lucchese planned on the stretch, but it gives the illusion one has narrow feet...BEAUTIFUL! At first glance you may not think your foot will fit, but it miraculously does. The heel slip is true, but I like the room and it doesn't make my foot feel cramped. I'm shorter (5'2") and the shaft perfectly wraps the bottom on my calf. I would warn other vertically challenged people not to get a mid-calf boot that goes any higher. Overall great looking boot.

LOVE MY BOOTS! They are true to size. They are rich in color, soft as slippers to wear, but beware... (don’t wear them the first time for 8 hours with no socks in humid weather). I got blisters that lasted 3 weeks... o.k. so that was my fault. They were so comfortable, I just would not have thought that could happen! I purchased two pair, and had a hard time sending the others back. They were also just as nice, this pair had nicer detail with the black stitching. The other pair, the leather was softer in the top, but equally as nice. This is a great brand!! Two Thumbs Up With A YeeHaw! Zappos is the best!

The boots arrived with flawed stitching on one toe so I called and made arrangements to exchange them. As always, Zappos' customer service was outstanding and the exchange was promptly and cheerfully made. The boots themselves are incredible - they are very comfortable without the need to be broken in. My daughter liked my pair so much she got a pair for herself.

I love these boots! They are very pretty and I danced all night in them the first wear out. When you try them on and you think the heel slip might be a problem, it isn't. No blisters.

Not only did I love the boots when the arrived...but they also arrived WAY ahead of schedule. I typically wear a 7.5 or an 8. I ordered the 8's, and they are perfect!

If you are looking for cowgirl boots, look no further -
Fit like a glove. The very first time you try them on, they feel a little tight, and they are a little difficult to get on at first. But like a glove, the boots formed to my foot beautifully after a few wearings. Craftsmanship and quality are exactly what you would expect for the price - all are on the high side. If your foot is wider, I would either bump up 1/2 size, or try to obtain a non-standard width. Otherwise, they are true to size. I am an 8 in some shoes, and an 8.5 in heels, average width, and the 8.5 in the boots is perfect. If unsure, order two sizes, and send one back. The color is as pictured. Allow for the slippage in the heel, kind of like closed-back clogs should slip. They look great with anything from jeans to casual skirts and dresses. Be sure to wear a boot-cut jean, or you may not be as happy with the look. These boots are expensive, but if you are looking for cowgirl boots, they are worth the splurge. I get compliments every time I wear them, and I don't live anywhere near a ranch!

Great boot – Felt great right out of the box. No break-in required. I have problem feet and it takes me some trial and error to find shoes that do not kill my feet. These have been perfect, so far. They offer great support and any terrain feels solid under these boots.

They are really cute, but run a little big. I normally wear a 7.5, but there is a lot of room in the toe and my foot pulls out of them at the heel when I walk. Going to try to get a 7 and see if that’s better!

Zappos is Wonderful!!! I bought these boots in a 7 1/2 because the reviews said they ran a half size large. Well they didn’t for me, they run VERY true to size and Zappos was so wonderful to exchange my boots for an 8! I love my new boots, they fit wonderfully and are beautiful to look at even if I am just walking through my closet! I LOVE them and thank you Zappos!

I finally got a pair of cowboy boots!!
I am from Nashville and this is my first pair of cowboy boots. My BFF got a pair of Justin boots and I fell in love with them. I debated between these and a pair of Justin boots, but I didn't want to copy her so directly, so I gave these a shot. How surprising to find out they're incredibly comfortable and easy to wear. I mean, it isn't like you're wearing slippers or something, but they're remarkably easy on the foot. And, frankly, I feel like a badass when I wear them. Like a tough girl. It's a great feeling. I read other reviews and understood I should have them in my size, but to me they still feel a tad large, so I wear thicker socks with them so my heel doesn't pull up so much as I walk. But I have quite narrow feet, so I suggest you go with the size you usually buy in other shoes.

Most comfortable cowboy boot ever!
I have actually had this pair of Lucchese boots for about a year now. I am very impressed with their comfort. I bought these after owning a pair of Justin boots and a pair of Tony Lamas. The Tony Lamas were a waste of money because they are extremely hard and uncomfortable. The Justin’s are great and well worth the money. The Lucchese are the most expensive of the three and I can really see why. They have the most flexible leather and the most padding in the footbed. They are a beautiful color as well. As far as size goes, I got a size 8 which is my regular size. They fit great! They are in no way tight or pinch at all. I totally recommend them to anyone who wears cowboy boots or plans to start.

Thought I'd check out what a real Italian boot felt like -- well, I'm hooked! I love shoes, but have wide feet (one wider than the other), as soon as I put these boots on, I knew I'd be wearing them a lot! Look and feel beautiful.

Great boots!
These boots arrived so quickly! Also they are incredibly good looking and comfortable. They seemed to be true to size. The instep is a teeny bit snug when you first put it on, but after about 5 minutes they are great and they stay that way! I bought these boots for a trip to a dude ranch and wore them riding horses everyday. They are great, comfortable, good looking, and I plan to wear them very often this fall and winter. Zappos customer service and shipping is extraordinary. Would buy these boots all over again!

Impressive boot!
This is my first Lucchese purchase, made after reading previous rave reviews. I agree, this is a very well crafted boot with great details. I am usually a 7.5, sometimes an 8. I ordered the 7.5; it fits like a glove, with thin socks or stockings. If/when I order again, I may purchase an 8, just so I can wear thick socks with them. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase.

I already own 4 pair of Lucchese in other colors, but these are the prettiest yet. The sherry color has a lot of depth, but it's understated enough to wear with everything. Needless to say, they feel fantastic - even better than my Dansko which is saying a lot for someone on their feet all day. This is a great investment and I will wear them for years. Thanks Zappos for your quick service.

I knew if they didn't work out I could return them without any problems or questions. Luckily I liked all the shoes. But best of all you shipped them all in one large box which was really convenient because I didn't have to wait for 4 shipments.
