My husband really likes his work shoes I purchased him for his birthday. I was unaware they were steel toed when I ordered them because he is not fond of steel toes. But he said this particular style did not bother him at all. I know now where to buy his work boots from here on out.

Too Good To Be True -
Bought a pair on Nov. 18, 2009. Was amazed at how comfortable they are! They did not need to be "broken in" at all. I can stand on my feet all day and still feel great. Loved them.
Today is March 12. Yesterday one of the laces broke. The metal eyelets are extremely tight. I had a hard time replacing the shoelace. That's when I noticed most of the threads that hold the outer part of the shoe to the inner part - right at the edge of the top, near the tounge - were missing.
In the picture of the shoe if you look at the top near where you tie the shoe, that's where it is coming apart. At first I thought it was because they sewed too close to the edge, but that's not it. The stitching is just gone.
I also see random other places over the boot's construction where the stitching is wearing out.
I am an engineer and work in an office environment. These boots look almost new - they have lived a very tame life. For them to have these problems in less than four months of service is completely unacceptable.
I have worn Red Wing brand shoes for over twenty years and never experienced anything like this. Shame on you Red Wing!
I called Zappos and was offered a full refund. Way to go Zappos!

shipping has been upgraded and the other with the tracking number. Well, look at that,
it's already out for departure. This is my second purchase from Zappos and will most
