Nice practical boot -
Liked these boots overall. Good fit, casual, supposedly waterproof, everyday boot. Decided to send back as I wanted something a bit more stylish. These are a very practical looking boot and would be great for the snow. Could wear over or under pants and with skirts or tights.

I live in the northwest and during most of the year it is cool and wet. I needed a boot that was waterproof, had good traction and was fashionable enough to wear at work. This boot fit the bill perfectly. It looks a little like a rain boot, but not too much. I love the fact that I can wear them with a skirt for work, or tuck my jeans in and wear them out to dinner with my husband. On top of that, they are extremely comfy. The leather on the leg is a little stiff, but personally, I like that. Thank you Zappos once again.

I love this boot! For anyone wondering what size to get, I think they run true to size. I wear an 8 or 8-1/2 and I questioned which size to order. I have slightly narrow feet and an average calf size so I chose to order a size 8 and they fit perfectly. They were comfortable the first wearing. They are perfect paired with a short sweater dress and leggings or tucked in jeans and a down vest. They came the day after I ordered them, great service Zappos!

I wear these boots with skirts to work. I'm glad I bought them. The style is rather functional, but they don't look too out of place in a professional environment either.

Comfy, stylish, practical. What more could you want? I purchased these for snowy days and they are perfect. They don't have a thick lining so I purchased a half size larger than what I normally wear so I could wear thick wool socks. My feet stay warm. I have worn them with jeans tucked in and out and they look great. I love the traction on the boot and the fact that the toe is reinforced (so far, they still look brand new even though I know I've stubbed the toe on rocks, curbs, etc.).

Cute but didn't work. I absolutely love the look of these boots, but unfortunately I have to return them. I know the QForm sole works well for my Achilles and fascia issues so I was very excited to find these boots. I know I have wide calves and have trouble with boots, but I bought them anyway based on everyone's responses that the opening was too big. It didn't fit. I wish they made a wide calf boot in the same look. The footbed is fabulous though. If I could wear them, I'd keep them.

Love these boots. It has been raining a lot where I live and I have worn them many times. They are extremely comfortable. The shaft may be a\r\nlittle snug for those with large calf muscles.

This is a super comfortable, well-made, great fitting boot! I am a teacher, so this boot is perfect - very versatile, esepcially great for unpredictable weather. In addition it is also very waterproof.

I have had these boots for two season of tough New England weather and absolutely love them. While initially the leather was quite tough, it definitely becomes more flexible with wear. Once broken in, they became my go-to shoe for the winter. I walked several miles a day following 10 hours on my feet and they still felt great. I wish they came in brown too!

I love these boots. I first saw them a few years ago and put off buying them thinking that I might find them on sale. Three years later, no sale price and I decided to go for it. They're warm, comfortable, cute, and waterproof. They are fairly casual, so don't buy them if you want a dressy boot. I also find that I like them a lot with skirts and dresses, but they're not so cute under jeans. Perhaps tucking them in would work better.

I had to send them back. Although they fit in the calf just fine the foot part way narrower than any shoe I have tried on. If I put any weight at all on my feet with the boots on the pain was unbearable. In no other brand do I wear the wide sizes, this was so weird.

I was super excited about these boots, but after trying them on I ended up having to return them. I have pretty skinny legs and the calves were too wide; even had I tucked jeans into them it would have been too large around the calves. Also, the ankle area was far too big. Too bad; they are really cute boots, but they just don't work for me.

These are very comfortable boots, warm, and true to size. I don’t have any problems getting my jeans to zip inside the boots, and they are hip, but not too edgy. A little too casual to look great with skirts, but provides a good “urban” look. Waterproof. Have walked miles in these and only wished I had purchased them sooner. A little too warm for spring on the east coast.

Great (nearly) all-purpose boot -
I wanted a boot that would look good with skirts or pants, would do well for a lot of walking, and would handle rain and snow. I've worn the boot almost every day since I got it a few weeks ago. The downside is that the rubber sole with extra toe protection is not very dressy; but that's the trade off for an all-weather boot. I'm very happy with this purchase, even though it was more than I'd wanted to spend.

Nice Boot -
These are great flat boots. Nice quality leather, a good heel and good traction. I am comfortable wearing them in the crazy mid-western weather and the nice thing is, they're still stylish unlike those stupid Ugg boots. Definitely more of an urban look, which I like. I do agree that the calf is very tight. I have pretty small calves and when I wear skinny jeans with them it's still a little hard to get the zipper at the way up. I think it just takes a little time for the leather to stretch out, because it wasn't as hard the 2nd week but they're definitely tight. I wear a half size, and I wish I had just gone a size up because it gets really tight in the toes. I can't wear thick socks with them, so if it's below 15 degrees my feet do get a little cold. The microfleece lining doesn't really live up to the sheepskin lining of the Ugg boots, but overall, I still think it was a worthwhile purchase. I would buy them again. Oh yeah! It had really nice cushion in the sole for boots :)

The PERFECT BOOT -
If you often wear round toe shoes IGNORE the other reviews that tell you to buy a half size larger. I bought these in my size which is 10 and after wearing them for a week they fit LIKE A GLOVE. I searched for the perfect walking all weather stylish boot to wear to the Presidential Inauguration and found this one. It fit my needs to a "T" Since my travels involved a LOT of walking and at least 5 hours of standing, I needed something that would be comfortable and supportive. I have one pair of Merrell sandals and once I saw the brand on these I knew they would be comfortable and worth the price. After wearing these every day for a week and walking at least a mile a day in them they are now my favorite piece of footwear. I have never encountered a more comfortable pair of boots. The leather is top quality and the soles are EXTREMLY slip resistant. I walked in snow & ice & stepped in puddles, my feet stayed warm & dry. A+++++++

Love my shoes!
I bought these shoes after seeing them on someone else. They are perfect for dressing up or down. They are really comfortable and I love the look. Zappos even upgraded my shipping from standard to 24 hour free of charge.

I used to wear platforms and heels before I had a baby. Now my foot wear has to be more practical, but I still want style. This boot accomplishes both. Knee high black boots are a staple of my wardrobe. The Merrell Plaza Peak is comfortable, has a low but not quite flat heel, and a stylish, modern look.

As always Merrell delivers a great shoe with comfort and style. A drop more fitted then sneakers, but still took usual size.

Love Merrell brand shoes, but not these...
I usually love Merrell brand shoes even though they tend to be a little wide on my narrow heel. However, these boots felt very stiff and hard on my foot just above the ankle. I am returning and opting for something a little more flexible.

For some reason the left boot cuts into my ankle and is very painful after several hours. The boot is very slip-resistant on ice and waterproof in slush and snow. I'll only wear them for short periods of time because of the ankle problem, so reconsider them if you will need them for extended periods of weight bearing!

Best shoe ever!
This boot fits like a dream, looks like it can go to the ritz, and feels like a sneaker. The only down-side which doesn't matter for everyday life was that it wasn't warm enough for deep snow. Other than that, I love this boot. Merrell is a great company.

On one of my orders, Zappos was so amazing to give me a special priority in upgrading my shipping date to the next day I placed my order. What other place does that? Not only did they do that, they always email you right away when you place an order. Other websites take so long, you worry if they even got the order. And, in Zappos website, it's so helpful. When looking at an item, it gives all the information you need. Your size, your color, and price range you are willing to spend. AND if the item is sold out, they email you once the item is back in stock. Come on! What other website does all of this! None! When I receive my shipment(s) at home, the packaging is so cute, neat.
