I've been looking for the Puma California shoe for a long time and finally found them here. They are as comfortable as I remember them and just a great all-around casual shoe. Good for those who walk around a lot, too.

My shoes are still alive after many years. Hi all. I got me these shoes back in 2002. Yeah, that's 7 years ago, and I still wear these shoes to wash my car or the occasional soccer match in the rain. I bought these shoes in size 12, I think this time I will get me these shoes in all available colors: black, elephant and blue, but only in size 13, if they become available soon. Get these shoes; they are really cool looking even for wearing them with a suit.

A casual shoe for those looking for simple, subtle style. The mixed upper/heel offer a cool and comfortable contrast in addition to making it work no matter what season it is. My main complaints are the poorly constructed, paper thin tongue and the below average cushioning. It's on par with the Nike Dunk (standard and CL) but not quite as plush as the Nike Air Force One or some of the Adidas Originals (Stan Smith/Rod Laver). Still a good shoe for anyone looking for something a little different.

I'm 47. The shoe has a classic look so I don't appear as though I'm trying to relive my youth. The one caveat I would offer is to recognize that the shoe runs small. So try and go a half size larger when ordering.

The shoes look cool. Simple. But they are very narrow. The right shoe had a lump by the big toe near the edge. Made my big toe bark after just 20 min in the house. The left shoe, although narrow, felt fine. Fit was true to size as far a length. Had to return them.

I just got these sneakers a few days ago and I'm very impressed with the style and color although I've been purchasing these Pumas for a few yrs now and so far they fit me great and are comfortable...I absolutely recommend this style of Pumas.

I love my new Puma California's. Had a pair about 5 years ago and was happy to see my feet in these again. As always, these Puma shoes are well built, comfortable, and classically stylish. My only recommendation to future buyers is that you purchase these in the size you actually wear---do not get them 1 or 1/2 size larger than you think you need or they'll be too big. They do not run small. I repeat; order the size you wear. After that, put 'em on and show them off!

I had a pair of Pumas that I loved so much. Then my puppy ate them and I have been afraid to love another pair of shoes that much ever again. I decided to take the plunge and purchase another pair. Not the same shoe!
I LOVED my California's in the 90's and still wear them from time to time even though they are falling apart. I couldn't believe when I saw them online, but they are not the same. My old ones had a really soft leather, not suede. Sort of greasy leather I think they call it. Way cooler than suede and much better looking. I don't know, hopefully I'll like these more when they are broken in.

A proven classic from Puma -
This is my third pair of California. The shoe is well-made, fits well and is comfortable for jogging and walking. No wonder it's been around for so long. BTW, I hope Zappos will bring back the Barrelroll by Puma. It fits much better than the El Rey and does not rub against one's Achilles tendon!

These are the best Pumas ever. I have had too many pairs to count and am so glad that they have brought them back. I can't wait to get another pair. They are comfortable, stylish and just plain cool.

I got these shoes for my boyfriend for Christmas. He normally wears a 10, but in these he only needed a 9 1/2. But once we got the right size, he loves them so much. He says they're super comfortable and he loves the look of them!

Too narrow -
A nice shoe, but pretty narrow - I’ve never had to wear wider than usual shoes before. I like that the sole was pretty much the same thickness throughout - not too much extra in the heel like most shoes, but there was an uncomfortable ridge of support along the outside edge of the shoe.

Great shoe! Not the best endurance, but gives quite a good style. There are better ones, but you will love this shoe.

I just discarded a pair of my old Puma California sneakers and was thrilled to find a replacement.
This one although LOOKS like one but is NOT one. It looks like a picture of the old Puma California which was Photoshoped with higher contrast. The suede is not the soft one the real Pumas has but a cheap rougher version. The ride is much harder - maybe the soles have higher density foam.

I am a big fan of the Puma California style. The shoe is pretty comfortable, although I've had a few problems with the tag on the tongue rubbing uncomfortably. Definitely true to size.

A classic!
I love these shoes and this is my fifth or sixth pair. They are comfortable, classic, cute, and they wear well and last for ages!! I also think that the size is pretty exact.

I called yesterday to exchange sneakers for a larger size, and late last night ordered some girly shoes, and this morning BOTH the sneakers and the shoes were at my door! I am stunned! Today I called a different place to order a specialty item (after checking Zappos site for something similar first, of course) and there is just no comparison whatsoever.
