Size 38 too large for 6.5 low-volume foot!
So I took the advice and ordered a size larger than the size I usually get in, say, Birkenstocks, and was surprised to find that the length was almost right, but the upper was far too roomy for my 6.5 skinny (the only part of me that is) foot. So I'm going to return these and try the 37s. What impressed me is how nice the shoe looks overall, the quality of the leather, and how the toe portion appears to have sufficient volume without binding. I may change my mind with the smaller size! Additionally, the gold color is more metallic in appearance than the photo shows - but it's still a "dress casual" shoe, one I'm hoping to wear with summer skirts. It would really be nice if it were adjustable - but it looks like it will be a simple alteration at the shoe repair (shortening the back strap behind the bow where it meets the elastic) if I need it done. If, of course, the shoe fits....

Cutest espadrille ever!
Saw these shoes in a shoe store and fell in love! Of course, they didn't have my size in stock (5.5). I was thrilled to find them online at Zappos. Only problem is I wanted them in bone color and Zappos only carried the black and green. I bought the black and also tried a different style (Roxy) in the bone. I didn't necessarily need a new pair of black shoes; however, I love the Paloma and the Roxy just isn't as comfortable. So now I love my new black shoes and am still searching for a pair in cream!

These shoes do not fit!
I loved the look of these shoes and ordered a pair along with the "Bonnet" and the "Denise". I took the advice from the previous reviews and ordered a size up (as large as they come which is a 42); it's supposed to fit 11-12. All three pairs were extremely narrow and short; there is no way they would fit a size 11 or 12. It's really unfortunate because they are lovely shoes.

Eric Michaels Paloma -
I love how this shoe looks, but the fit was tricky. I wear a 6 1/2 medium, though I get away with a 7 sometimes. But I followed the posted advice and ordered a size up (a 38). The length of the larger size is fine, but my foot swam in the front and kept sliding out the opening. MY TIP: I inserted one of those gel pads designed for the ball of the foot and now they fit perfect.

Gorgeous but tight -
Agree with everyone who says these feel narrower than expected. They are tight across the top of the foot. I'm trying to stretch that part because otherwise, the shoe is exactly what I wanted - a casually elegant espadrille. If I can just loosen up the cross piece on top of the foot these will be my go-to shoes this summer.

Order carefully -
I usually wear a 5, but after reading the reviews, got the 5.5/6 and they fit perfectly. Should have listened to the reviewer who mentioned the large toe opening because my feet do slide forward a lot when walking, but perfect for a day when I don't have a lot of walking to do.

Absolutely fantastic!
My daughter gave me a pair of these shoes in patent leather, and I had to have these too. They are comfortable, stylish, and perfect for summer.

Great shoe and color -
Great shoe, very comfortable. I would order 1/2 to a full size larger than you usually buy. Can walk in these shoes all day!

Size is small, Bone Silk is more yellow than cream -
Those shoes are very small. I ordered a 38 (normally I wear 37 European size) and I couldn't even stick my feet into them. They also seemed really narrow, even for regular width feet. Also, you should be aware the real life color of the bone silk has a shade of buttery yellow. I wanted a pair of cream color shoes, and was disappointed.

Beautiful material and color, simple elegant style, and well-made. The toe opening is a little wide so that my foot slips forward, so not a good walking shoe. But, very comfortable to stand in, even for long periods, and the look is great. No half sizes; need to order a size up.

Comfy, but sophisticated -
I ordered this in the sage green color and immediately my friend wanted to borrow them. I knock 1 star off comfort just because of the height of the heel. It IS a wedge, but the heel still makes it a high heel. Otherwise, beautiful.

The Paloma Dilemma -
This is a beautiful shoe and Eric Michael's has some great slingbacks to chose from this spring in a variety of colors. The dilemma is choosing which color(s) to buy! It is a bit narrow and YES order up 1/2 size. The heel height does not feel at all high, very comfortable shoe and would highly recommend!

Silk Shantung Paloma -
This is a beautiful shoe. Ordered the green but wrong size and am waiting for the right size to arrive, but got the cream as well. GREAT spring shoe, great heel height, beautiful for weddings and casual wear/jeans. A little narrow for a medium width, but no real issues. Fabulous spring shoe and Eric Michaels has some great designs on Spring!

Way narrow, very stiff -
These sandals are an odd combination of problems. The best feature is the very soft leather footbed. Too bad I won't get to enjoy it. The upper part of the shoe is also lined in very soft leather, but the shantung silk part is incredibly stiff and ridiculously narrow. I could hardly get my feet in the shoes, and I have narrow feet. They were also at least a half size too small in length. I couldn't even stand in them. If you are going to order them, I would order up at least a half size, but even then, I think they will be too narrow for most women. Very disappointing, but there are plenty of other espadrilles to chose from this spring.

 | | Every time I order from Zappos it's a sure thing. I never have to wonder if they'll get the order right or when I'll receive it. The customer service is the best of any company I've ever worked with. The entire process is painless. If for any reason the order doesn't work out, Zappos is amazing about returns/exchanges, they pay for shipping and their response is fast and accurate. As a mother of 5, accuracy and expediency are vital. Zappos is my silver bullet and I no longer have to even leave the house to take my kids shopping for shoes. I highly recommend Zappos to anyone and everyone. | | ~ Ann E, September 14 2009
