I really like these shoes and will be staying with them in the future. They have eliminated the knee and ankle problems I was having with other types. They fit great (I found that they ran a little snug in width for me so I got 2E in my normal 10 size). They feel much more like extensions of my feet than my other shoes. Very well made and good looking.

These are great shoes! Buy a pair every year for my dad; he has wide feet and these are the only shoes that don't hurt or he doesn't need to break in.

Zappos.com rocks! I've had 5 pairs of the Brooks Beast over the past couple of years and they are fantastic. I've got a long narrow foot and I am a pronator. Best stability shoe I've ever had on my foot.

I had never ordered from Zappos, but I had difficulty finding the Brooks Beast shoe. Not only did Zappos have the shoe, but my size as well. I placed the order and the shoes came as promised. I will definitely buy more from Zappos.

This is my fourth pair of beasts, but the first time I tried wide. The Beast is the best shoe in the world for my shin splints--they keep my feet in exactly the right position to avoid injury. The size Wide is so roomy. I just love them.\r\n\r\nAs always, the service from Zappos was amazing.

We've come back for this shoe three times in the past two years. My husband has severe over pronation, nearly walking on his ankle. This is the very best shoe we have found to date. He is comfortable right out of the box! He uses his custom orthotics in them and they fit just fine. We reviewed many brands and styles before we bought this shoe, and will probably be ordering it again in 8 months or so.

These shoes were recommended to me by a physical therapist to deal with knee pain caused by my pronated feet. I have worn out multiple pairs over the past four years, using Lynco inserts to aide the correction of the pronation, and have no knee pain at all, running about 50 miles per week. Highly recommend these shoes!

If you're looking for a solid running shoe which gives enough padding, but isn't too tight around the toes or for those with a wide foot, this might be the right shoe for you. I have a size 15 foot, and generally find it tough to find running shoes which I really like, both in terms of style and function. I took a chance on these shoes, having never purchased Brooks sneakers before, and being somewhat skeptical after reading only a smattering of reviews. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. I've worn these for around 9 months now in a variety of settings, even using them on a 2-day mountain hike on one weekend. Mostly, though, I use them 3-4 times a week as my running shoes. And they perform admirably. They are starting to wear down somewhat in the outside balls of the sole and on the inside fabric of the heel, but the heel part is largely because of the way I run and because of the way these shoes seem to slide up and down just a little more than many others I've purchased in the past. And yes, they are the right size. It's just the way they seem to be designed. And they are definitely useful for someone who is an over-pronator. So, in summary, I was very pleased with this purchase, even if they were a little more expensive than some of the other shoes I was looking at at the time of purchase. I will definitely make my next set of running shoes something in the same product line as this pair. I was pleased with the quality of the product, and think that they were a solid purchase. Oh! And they were/are incredibly comfortable to wear. Great padding and design. Definitely worth mentioning.

BROOKS Beast is extremely comfortable and nice looking. The combination mesh and synthetic upper makes this a very durable running shoe. The excellent cushioning and arch support provides flexibility and comfort. The fact that this shoe helps with pronation problems is a definite plus. I never realized how good Brooks was until I tried these runners. I am starting to feel that the other brands are somewhat overrated. The Beast is practically the perfect shoe. Highly recommended!

My husband is running in these shoes!!!!
These shoes are well worth the price. My husband hasn't been able to walk without back pain for almost a year. The first day of wearing these shoes and he felt so great he ran 1/2 a mile! He severely over-pronates, has flat feet, and weighs 230+. His normal shoe size is a 13.5 and a 14 fit perfectly. He normally doesn't need a wide shoe, but he needed a 14 wide in these to have enough room in the toe box. The black/silver looks pretty cool, too! I thought they'd be dorky from the pics, but they look better in person.

This is my second pair. My doctor recommended them for my plantar fasciitis. Great foot support and stabilization.

Narrow foot, extreme pronation, wonderful comfort -
The title says it. I have a hard foot to fit; it's very narrow, and my pronation is so extreme I leave oval footprints around a pool. I've been wearing Brooks shoes for a few years now, and this latest incarnation of the Beast is the best yet. I walk a mile and a half uphill to the coffee shop every morning with a 12-15 pound backpack, and the Brooks shoes get me there without sore knees or hips, and with only moderately aching feet (moderately is as good as I've been able to get since I was about 12, and I'm over 70 now). I recommend them highly. Get a half size larger than you usually wear, and you'll probably have a perfect fit.

These shoes are the best running shoes I have tried so far. Better than my Nike Shox. I got them because I am new to running and was getting shin splints really bad on the inside of my shins. I found out I was an extreme over pronater. These cleared that right up.

I'm a big guy, so I need a solid shoe for running. Brooks Beast is an awesome shoe! I think it runs narrow (especially when compared to New Balance), so I always get one width larger than I normally buy.

The shoes feel great. I have had a hard time finding tennis shoes that feel good like New Balance used to. They seem to be a tiny bit undersized. I will get the 1/2 size up next time. Wish they went up by 1/4 size!

I'm a big guy and wear these all day, every day. I have gone through several pairs, but each one was worth it. I have custom orthotics, but cannot fit them in over the liner that comes with the shoe. I remove the liner and put the orthotics in. However, recently I have gone back to wearing the shoe with just the original liner because of the comfort and softness. If my feet bother me, I throw the orthotics in for a few days and then go back to the brooks liner because it is so comfortable.

Flat feet as happy as flat feet can be -
These shoes cost a little more, but podiatrists and crutches and physical therapy cost even more. As a flat-footed person who needs good support in a shoe, these have served me well and have allowed me to actively walk and even run without the pain and medical expense. There is adequate room (upon removing the built-in insole) for a custom prescription orthotic. I've gotten a new pair of these shoes about every five or six months for the past three years and my flat feet are about as happy as flat feet can possibly be.

Finally... I found it!!!
I am 400 lb., an over-pronator, and I like to play racquetball. You can only imagine how taxing that is on shoes. I never found a shoe that could take those stresses until the Beast. And it is the first shoe that my outer toes are not crammed, worn raw, or even sometimes bleeding. The shoe easily compensates for my over-pronation. The wear has surpassed all my previous shoes. I can't believe I have finally found the perfect shoe for me!!!

Great shoe, a little heavy -
I bought these shoes to help my ankle roll, they seem to be successful so far. Fair warning, these shoes are significantly heavier than most running shoes, but you do get used to it.

Flat foot wonderful -
For someone who is a major over pronator, Brooks has been a consistently positive investment. They may not have the most stylish appearance but my feet are happier because I wear them.
