I am so disappointed that I have to send these boots back, because I absolutely loved the look of them! I got the brown ones with red detailing, and the colors are exactly as pictured. The stitching is also really cute. However, for some reason the seam that runs up the inside of the boot shaft absolutely killed my ankle bones. I am not sure if it was just this pair of boots or the Ariat brand in general. It felt like the thick seam was collapsing in on the sides and digging into the skin/bone around my ankle. It was so uncomfortable that I noticed this problem as soon as I put them on. I don't think it was something that would have felt better after breaking them in. I think if the seams had been different, this would have been the perfect boot! Darn!

Ariat Legend Wing Tip. Awesome boots. I had to send them back to get a size smaller. I almost always wear a nine. I can't wait to get the 8.5s!

I wear boot socks and these are true to size. I feel the fit is perfect with a medium weight boot sock. They look and feel better than boots I have that cost twice as much.

Wonderful Boots -
I'm a horse back rider and I needed a new pair of western show boots, I have always used Ariat for my english riding needs, so I look at them first. These boots are great I wore them all day no breaking in needed and they were great to ride in as well. You can't beat the comfort and the look is amazing. They can go from a day at the barn, to a night out on the town. Great Boot!

The most perfect cowboy boot -
I ordered my own size - and sure enough, they were too big. I ended up going one whole size smaller than my normal size (I typically wear 11, ordered size 10 for these, as there's no "half" sizes between 10 and 11). I bought the chestnut- and let me tell you, the color is GORGEOUS and I am so happy I got these. I would say these are cowboy boots with a fit that is built like modern day tennis-shoes. The insole can be replaced with your own custom orthotic, just like good running shoes... which is so terrific cause that means you can always change the insole should that wear down in time. The heel and sole are rubberized, too, so it'll absorb impact. I am happy with them, will be wearing them for years to come.

These boots are gorgeous. I bought the brown leather and the color is a deep, dark walnut, and simply lovely. I received compliments from several people immediately. Despite reading another reviewer's experience of the boot being too long, I went ahead and ordered the 9 because my other pair of Ariat boots (rounded toe) I wear for work/riding are 9. When I tried them on, they appeared very long. I ordered the 8.5 and they arrived in a day or so and I compared the two boots with each other. Decided to go with the 8.5 because it fit better. This boot has a squared toe and perhaps that is why it seems so long. Otherwise, the boot is marvelous. I have BIG calves and thought I might have to take them to my cobbler to have the shafts stretched because the boots were too tight the first 2 or 3 times I wore them. But after 5 or 6 times of wearing them, they fit quite perfectly with no intervention whatsoever. I'm thrilled and pleased with the boots.

Fantastic, beautiful boot! I own several pairs of Ariat Legend series boots - they fit my feet perfectly. No breaking in period required, just pure comfort from the first time I slip them on. And the quality is excellent.

I cannot believe this boot. All the reviews said you could wear these right out of the box, and you can. I usually wear an 8 to 8 1/2. I ordered an 8 and had to send back for a 7 1/2… Perfect! They do run large so order smaller, but once you get them, they are amazing. Most comfortable boot I have ever had on and I tell everyone. Well worth the money. I will wear these for years. The square toe looks great for anything. I bought the chestnut and love the color.

A nice boot -
I usually buy my boots a half size larger than my shoes, but didn't need to with these. They actually run true to size (for shoes), but a smidge narrow through the widest part of the foot. Comfortable toe & pure quality backed by the Ariat name. Excellent support. You can't go wrong.

Impressed!
I wear a narrow shoe and thought I would never find a western boot to fit. I read the previous reviews on this boot and tried it. I ordered one full size smaller than I wear, and it fit! Wore them at the Houston rodeo last week and loved them! The bonus is they are beautiful!!! Try them!

Best Boot EVER!
I have been wanting a pair of cowboy boots for quite some time. I had two very old (and cool) cowboy boots from way back when (that I loved) but they "broke" and could not be fixed. I found this boot at Zappos and was intrigued with the arch support and the shock absorbency they touted in the description (I have a bad back and I can't just wear any shoe). The look was GREAT - I especially liked the squared toe and the color of these boots (I got the black and silverish coloring). They were so comfortable right out of the box. I was at first surprised how snug they fit (I usually wear Danskos...) but they hugged my feet and they never hurt. I can walk all day in them and my feet and back are fine! LOVE this boot!!! Will be a repeat customer when the time comes.

Gorgeous, comfortable boots -
I had to send back the first pair, because these are a full size too long, but once I got the correct size (incredibly fast, thanks to Zappos), these instantly became my favorite boots. They are beautifully made, so comfortable right out of the box, and just gorgeous. The finish is excellent in every way. They don't scuff easily--mine haven't scuffed at all yet, and I am wearing them in a typical Upstate NY winter, with snow, ice, and salt on the ground. I'm typically pretty hard on my shoes, but these have remained in perfect condition. I have the Black/Silver ingot wingtips; the leather has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. The craftsmanship is meticulous. This is the kind of shoe that's worth resoling someday--if the soles ever give out, which they might not. I think they were worth every penny, and I will buy more of this style.
About the size: I normally wear an 8.5, but I can fit into some 8s, and my feet are thin, and maybe a bit on the narrow side, closer to an A width. So I'm thinking if you have medium to wider feet or plumper feet and you always take at least an 8.5, then maybe you should try an 8 first. But for me, even the 7.5 is just slightly roomy (all B-width shoes are a little roomy on me). I wear orthotics in a lot of my shoes for extra support for my high arches and to take up some of the extra space, but in shoes that are really well constructed I don't need the orthotics. I don't need my orthotics in these boots.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: I also have Durango western boots that I love--and they're true to size. But the Ariat boots are of higher quality.

Cool Boots!
These boots fit me perfectly in my heel and arch with an average sock and are true to size. They remind me of the arch in my Merrell shoes. They are better looking than the picture shows with a nice blue/red and pretty brown coloring. Nice nice boots.

Great Show Boot -
I have a wide foot and short, chunky legs, but needed a boot for showing in the AQHA circuit. I did order 1/2-size larger for the width. This boot pops on nicely and will stay on even while riding with spurs. Because the top is a little shorter than most boots of this type, it is perfect for those with a shorter leg and/or wider calves. This is a beautiful boot.

Fantastic -
This is a great boot. It is a little stiffer than the Bramble style but was comfortably broken in after being worn just once. I have problem feet and was looking for something with a moderate heel to wear with jeans and cords. These are perfect, I can wear them all day! This is my 5th pair of Ariat boots and I'm not even a cowgirl. As always Zappos shipping and service is terrific.

This boot looks great!
This boot looks even better when you get it home. It has a nice design around the base that you can't really see in the picture. The foot bed is soft. It is comfortable and stylish.

Cowboy boots -
This was a gift for my wife. I had ordered them late I thought, but the next day they were at the house. This was a life saver. They are worn 3 or 4 times a week and my wife is very happy.
