Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked
Way too narrow. Having a wide foot, I have ordered 2 other Fitzwell shoes (loafers) and they were great. Thinking the boot would be a similar fit, I ordered a 12 W and couldn't even get my foot half way into the boot. If you need a wide, save yourself the time and find something else.

Even if the rest of it was complete junk, which it is not, the combination of laces and a zipper side would give this boot merit. So often a boot with a zipper is just not right for your foot. Without the laces, there is no ability for you to customize the boot to your foot so you just have to be lucky when shopping. Not so here. You get the customization that laces allow you and the convenience of the zipper side. Set the laces properly once, tuck them away and never fool with them again. From then on, you zip the boot on and off.The little gel insert in the heel is a bit weird and does not really do anything for me. That's my only complaint. I would rather it was not there. The rest of the boot seems well made and certainly looks good. Now, if Zappos would only get the black ones in stock I could have a pair of each!

Ordered my 10W size and could not get my foot in the shoe. Very stylish and nice looking boot but feels like it should be a womens shoe - pointy toe, light weight and soft. It is so lightweight it feels like it would not last long. I am used to a more substantial boot so that may influence my review - could be it is just not my type of shoe.

Perfect and Elegant!
I always have trouble finding shoes in my size (12.5) and these were actually in stock in that size! They fit beautifully and are incredibly comfortable. They feel like casual boots, but are actually dressier and more fashionable! Highly recommended!

 |  | I can't thank you enough! I have always had a difficult time finding comfortable shoes because I have a very narrow foot. I now have a medical foot issue that has progressed to the point of needing to replace nearly all of my shoes with relatively flat, well-made (translation: expensive) shoes to enable me just to walk without excessive pain. Needless to say, it is difficult to know immediately if a given shoe will both fit my narrow foot and not cause a great deal of pain after an hour of wear. Your free-return policy has been a true blessing to me. It is not easy to spend $170.00 on a pair of shoes that may hurt my feet after an hour and be unwearable if those shoes cannot be returned easily. The specialty shoe store in my area is great, but they offer a limited selection and any special orders can only be returned with a 15% restocking fee. Other online shoe stores require me to pay the return shipping fee and cannot begin to match the customer service that you provide. This can get costly and time consuming when one has the type of issues I have and needs to replace an entire wardrobe of shoes with well-built shoes. I have to say, even if I did not have foot issues, Zappos would be my shoe store for the selection and great customer service alone. Additionally, you offer such quick shipping, the best customer service I have found in as long as I can remember and great selection. I am incredibly happy that I was told about Zappos. You have simplified this part of my life, and believe me, with my foot pain, that is a very large part of my life. I have written other thank you notes to Zappos as well, but I wanted to send a special note of thanks for the quick shipping. I will continue to rave about Zappos to friends and family!
