Beautiful, comfortable boot! This is a bit weird, but I have dreams in which I "design" shoes & sometimes clothes. I had actually dreamed this shoe about two months ago (hadn't heard of Zappos at that time), even drew a picture of it! Of course when I saw it, had to have it. Problem is I wear 9 & 1/2, the 41 is a bit long. I am ordering the 40, but I suspect it will be too tight across the instep, but am going to try it! One way or the other am keeping one of them!

Stylish, good quality, excellent fit. The three things in the title of my review are what I look for in a shoe, or, in this case a bootie. I wear orthotics all the time, so it's not hard to tell I have 'trouble feet'. I am used to spending a lot more on shoes, more like the $200 and up range, in order to have style, quality and comfort, but I tried this pair of Rieker as my first based on a friend's recommendation. I am very pleased I did. The bootie is very cute, goes will all kinds of things and can be worn anywhere, and has already garnered a compliment or two. I just got them today while at work and threw them on for their first try-on. Perfect! For me, there has been zero break in time. I will surely look to buy Riekers in the future. More, Zappos is the only place I buy shoes since years, now.

Very comfortable -
I don't usually wear any shoes with a heel because I walk a lot and comfort is very important. The heel is the perfect height. It's dressy and feminine. I am finding excuses to wear them.

A Touch of Nostalgia -
This is a great little boot. It has all the modern amenities such as a grippy bottom and a lightly insulated interior coupled with a nostalgic bottom up boot exterior. I wear a size 9 and the size 40 fit perfectly. There is room for a cashmere weight wool sock so I would guess that inserts would work fine. It is easy to get on and the heel height gives it a slightly dressy look, but is comfortable all day. For me, this was a good buy!

Cool boot -
I bought a pair in black while on vacation. Loved them so much, I looked for a pair in brown through Zappos. They are very comfortable. I am on my feet all day!

This is my new favorite shoe. It's very comfortable, true to size and I absolutely love it! I'm thinking about ordering it in another color.

Great little boot!
This boot looks just fabulous in person. The dark, rich brown is almost - but not quite - black. It will go with everything. The slightly distressed leather has a beautiful sheen.
The sculptured heel is so graceful. I love these boots. If only there were more significant arch support, they would be perfect. Although my foot is a bit wide, the regular width is just fine, even with moderately thick socks.
They require a shoe horn to get on, but once your foot slides in, they feel great.

Like slippers -
These little boots are great! They feel just like slippers right out of the box. Lovely soft leather and the style looks great with pants or skirts.

Great shoe - stylish but not "clunky"! I've had several pair of Rieker shoes through the years - they have been well made, comfortable and light weight. The best place to buy shoes is Zappos! Awesome service!

I was looking for low heeled boots and came across the Rieker brand. I love the low heel. I wanted a shoe/boot to wear with jeans for the winter. I usually wear a 10M. These shoes run about a half size larger. I didn't exchange for the half size smaller though, I just wear thicker sox. The shoes are really comfortable and I love the way they look with my jeans. I just can't wear high heeled boots anymore. I wear low heeled shoes for work and the high heels are way too uncomfortable. I'm going to order another pair of Riekers, just a half size smaller.

I love this boot -
This boot is extremely comfortable from the first wearing. It looks great with pants or skirts. There are no half sizes so if you are a 7.5 like me the 8 fits pretty well.

Needs insole -
Very cute, sized right (I bought a 9 1/2 and usually wear a 9 or 9 1/2). I tried a 9 in a different style and it was too small. No support under the toe bed though. Feet ached. I bought a memory foam insole to fill in any open areas that caused a little rubbing and to give the ball of my foot support. Much better now.

A marriage of comfort and style -
These shoes have literally changed my life. They are elegant enough to wear with suits for work and comfortable enough to wear all day without a single ache or pain. I normally wear orthotics in my shoes and had resigned myself to wearing clunky sensible footwear until I discovered the Rieker anti-stress technology. These are wonderful shoes!!

My new favorite pair of shoes - Comfortable in every way. Not at all clunky. Looks good with almost anything. Lined, so warm and cozy. Only slight issue is that the zip is vertical so getting into them can be tricky. I had to order a size up because I couldn't easily slide in. In retrospect, as the leather is soft, I could have ordered the smaller size and broken them in. But I love them and am considering buying another pair just so that when I wear the first ones out (though they are wearing very well) I'll have a back up!
