This is my first pair. These boots are very comfortable right from the start. I didn't have to break them in at all. Working 12 to 14 hours is no problem. They seem light for a steel toe. These are more comfortable than my tennis shoes, I think. We will see how they hold up.

Needed to write a review because that's what helped me make a great purchase. I am a big dude and was looking for a set of lightweight work boot and reading someone else's review of these boot made me get them. And I'm glad I did .These but are true to there size and width. Also light no break-in needed. So good buying another set for every day use. Will write another review on how long they last me. Look out for it.

This is my second pair. None of my work books last me longer than six months. This I was able to use twice longer, over a year. I replaced them with this new pair; high quality, very comfortable, and comes in half sized and wide.

Son Loves Them For His New Job!!
These boots were purchased for my son, who just started working at a tire store, fixing and replacing tires. He loves the boots and is completely satisfied with the appearance, fit, and durability.

This is my 2nd pair of theses boots and I have to say I like them a lot. They hold up very good, fit good and are comfortable. Soles are okay on wet surfaces to a point, but then they slip; not good for the snow. Not much traction with sole design; if you want traction for snow you need to get a more aggressive sole. Overall, for what I do, they work very well; I work in a bakery.

I am 6'3" and weigh 330lbs! Most comfortable steel toed boot I ever wore but at the price it should be. Little warm in the boot but definitely waterproof, I soaked them pretty good in puddles and such. I am very happy with boots and with Zappos. This is first time I ordered shoes online and I was originally going to get Dr. Martens at first but read the reviews of this shoe, like you are doing, and went with Timberlands. I am bigger than you and my feet feel like they are on pillows all day. Enjoy!

If you prefer for your shoes to fit your foot like a glove, this is a shoe you might consider. Beware, however, that due to the cut of this shoe's toe, you will find that this shoe runs small if your foot structure is such that your big toe is not level with the others (e.g. slightly longer). I did not realize this prior to placing my order and thus ordered my normal size. The result: I had to return the shoes since its length definitely felt too short.

Great boot!!!! This is my second pair. I will never wear another boot again. My first pair lasted me 3 1/2 years, wearing them 5 days a week for at least 10 hours per day.

A Nice Boot, BUT...
Okay, I went from Skechers Work Energy 2 Steel Toed Shoes to these and both are very comfortable. However, one of the metal teeth that the laces go through presses into my ankle something fierce. Other than that and that problem may be specific just to me... the boots are very comfortable and fit well. Another little thing - not sure if you care or not, but the leather scuffs and gets marked up very easily giving them a used dirty appearance, even if they are not.

The shoe is a good, strong work shoe. It is a little flat as there is not much cushion on the bottom but an insole insert alleviated that problem. Otherwise my husband likes it.

Hard to Beat! It was tricky to look this boot up since the non-steel toe version is more popular. I owned the tan colored one before but my new job requires black uniforms. Amazingly, this boot is more comfortable than the soft toe version that I returned. It is broken in after one or two wears. The most advanced boot out there, PERIOD. Comfort, temperature, and looks. Even looks cool in shorts. Get it, you won't regret it!

Great Boot!
I've worn this shoe for the past 2 years. It was time to re-up and it was a no brainer. This shoe has the ultimate comfort/cushion for a full day's work and provides the best in safety with the Titan toe. I would recommend this boot if you don't want to feel like you're actually wearing boots...Delivery was super quick, also!

Had to have safety shoes for work and ordered these because other workers had the same. Look good, but they are a little too large-probably about a half size, so I wear them with heavy socks.

My husband is on his feet all day on concrete. Normally his feet hurt so bad he can't move after work. His feet are still tired when he gets home, but not nearly so painful. He really likes the way the steel toe is done in these shoes - they make it wider and it flairs a little at the opening, so it doesn't pinch and bind his feet like most steel toes. These were an excellent purchase - full features, competitive price, and Zappos great service.

Not Construction Worthy -
I'm a pipe fitter and these just don't cut it. They were OK at first, but it only took 6 months for them to start falling apart. The shoe separated from the sole, letting water in on those wet days. I would not suggest it. Comfort is mediocre; when I do more ladder work, I don't notice, but if you're hauling materials... out of luck. I wear a size 15 religiously and these felt a 1/2 size larger.

Long Lasting Awesome Comfort!!!!
I've owned 3 pairs of these shoes in the past 5 years, and WILL continue to purchase these as long as they make them. They are, out of the box, the most comfortable and long lasting steel toe shoe I've ever owned. I've been wearing steel toed shoes for over 12 years, and these shoes by far are the most comfortable, longest lasting shoes that I have ever bought!!! Believe me, I've tried quite a few brands and styles, and these are the best and most well constructed I've ever invested in!!! Thanks Timberland, for an awesome and durable pair of work shoes!!!

They felt really good compared to my old boots, but they didn’t fit in the foot. The heel felt perfect, cupped it right in place. This is probably just my messed up feet though. I still need to return them, if I get the wide ones and they are good, I will update.

REVISED: GREAT GIFT FOR BRO!
The order was shipped to my brother as a late Christmas gift. He is a welder back home and needed something different with comfort to work in. He was so happy to receive them the next day, but I think I was even happier. Thx for the convenience, comfort and affordability.

These boots are really comfortable and lightweight because of the titanium toe. Highly recommend them if you're looking for comfort and protection. Ordering from Zappos was easy, my shipment arrived in a week. It was shipped to an APO address.

The boot is good but the toe is easily damaged by little outside impact. Looking at buying toe guards to prevent any further wear and tear.

Very comfortable after a couple of weeks...
Advertised on the Zappos site as TITANIUM toe but looking at the box and all the literature describing the features of the boot, titanium was not mentioned once. They are slightly heavier than I had expected, leading me to believe the toe is steel. The toe is wider than most steel toed shoes thus making it much more comfortable.
