This dress is true to size and is very comfortable. I am 5\'11 and of average build so a size Large on me will fit very differently than on someone shorter and stockier as it does hug the body before it A-lines.This dress can be worn with high heels and some fab jewelry or can be dressed down with tights and flats or boots of any height. Plus, Patagonia is a comapny that practices policies for a greener environment.

Love this dress, you can dress it up or down. Folds compactly for traveling and no wrinkles! The fit is fantastic, close to the body, but not tight, and plenty of swing to the skirt.

This is a great practical dress. You can dress it up or down. The fit was to size. The cut is low enough that you can wear it with a visible camisole during the day. At night you can remove the cami and have a nice lowish cut evening look.

Ran a size small for me. Definitely made for an 'athletic' figure up top and too small for my DD bust. Also pretty snug in the bicep area. Too short for comfort, even though I'm only 5'4", but very nice style and fabric, if you're maybe a B cup and like a short dress.

Pretty and versatile dress. I originally bought the sleeveless version of this dress & loved it so much I decided to buy it in the longer sleeve version in black. Note it has 3/4 sleeves and is so versatile you could wear it with flats or dress it up with heels. I am so happy I read all the reviews regarding sizing because it does run small/slim fit. I wear a size 8 dress & am 5'10", B cup bra & I ordered the large. Fits perfectly. The v-neck is deep but you can wear a regular bra & it won't show (even with the sleeveless version, the bra straps won't show). Doesn't cling, but is shaped to your body. Love it! And, Zappos is the best; shipped perfectly overnight.

I ordered this dress based on so many positive reviews and was not disappointed. It washes well and travels well, looks great with leggings. I ordered a size medium and am 5' 3" about 125 lbs with a 34C bust. The small would probably fit me but be too snug in some areas. Medium fit perfect.

I love this dress! I am so happy with it. I wear a 38C bra since I had my babies, and I am very glad I did not size up as many reviewers had suggested. The large fits me perfectly. It is quite flattering and very comfortable. I have always worn Patagonia fleece and coats, but this is my first dress. A very worthwhile purchase. Love it!

I love this dress! I wanted something that was comfortable to wear (I hate stiff and/or itchy clothes), that could be dressed up or down for different occasions. This dress is soft, stretchy and comfortable; the 3/4 sleeves make it wearable for all but the hottest weather; it is very flattering; and can look casual with flip-flops or dressed up with a nice necklace and heels. I am 5'3" and 130 lbs, I am pretty much always a size 6 and the "Small" fit perfectly. One caveat: the v-neck is pretty low, especially if you have cleavage. I put a camisole under it for daytime occasions; with the right bra it is quite sexy for evening!

This dress is tight in the upper arms and has not a lot of coverage in the bust area. It stretches, but the fabric is rigid. So I suggest sizing up, especially if you are big on top. You'll love the way this looks on though. It hugs the area just under the bust and makes everything look tighter and lifted. Length is great too - I'm 5'4" and it hits me just at the top of the knee.

Perfectly fit! Love it!
Ordered a size xs in black and it fits perfectly! I'm actually flat-chested, but this dress actually compliments my figure and gives me some overall curve. The only thing is that the black is a little grayish black, not pitch black as I expected. But hey, still love it!

I love this dress. The cut is great for my body, the v neck is kind of low so a cami underneath looks good. The cotton is soft and comfortable-overall a great buy.

This is a great dress to have in your closet. I live in Southern California so this is a great dress to wear this time of year. Seems to fit true to size. A very easy outfit to run out shopping in or grab dinner with friends.

Odd fit...
This dress just wasn't exactly what I expected. I ordered a medium, which was generally too big except in the shoulders and arms where it was a bit snug. The waist hit higher than I had expected and the hips were pretty full, creating a NOT very flattering wide-hipped look. Also, the material was not as soft as I expected an organic cotton to be. It was sort of stiff, like a material better suited for exercise clothes than a dress. The V-neck was very deep and definitely required a camisole (otherwise my bra showed). Overall, I think this could be a cute dress, maybe it just didn't fit me! I'm considering re-ordering a smaller size because I love the idea of this dress, but I'm worried the dress still won't be very flattering and the arms and shoulder-area might be too small in a smaller size?

The insoles are removable. However, once you remove the insoles to add your orthotics, you will see that the footbed is full of holes that I guess are supposed to create comfort, BUT since the orthotics only cover part of the footbed, the toes dig into the holes and are most uncomfortable. The shoes are comfortable for the most part if you do not have to insert orthotics.

Wearing AWESOME and how it feels.
This dress is comfortable. It fits me like a glove. A sexy glove. I did not have to buy a drink at all, of course I was at a wedding and they were free, but I also did not have to get up and get one either. I was a little skeptical to wear this dress to a hundred thousand dollar wedding, but at the end of the night, I looked great, and was comfortable. Unlike most of the other woman clawing at the boning in their dresses, looking miserable. All in all, patagonia makes great technical gear, and now they can add glamour to their portfolio.

Great dress!
The dress is lovely, flattering, and very well cut and crafted. The only minus is that the v-neck plunges a bit too deep, so I tend to wear it with a camisole.

Wonderful! Excellent little black dress! Made with organic cotton, so it's a plus for the environment...for those like me that are trying to go 'Green' it's a perfect choice! I bought the small, I'm 5' 6" and 120 pounds...the fit was perfect.

FYI this dress runs small - Very comfortable casual dress. Different material from the Patagonia morning glory dress – not as stretchy, but this one does have some stretch to the fabric. This dress runs small. I usually wear a small in Patagonia. 5'2" 115 lbs, 34 B cup, usually wear a size 2 to a 4. Ordered a medium in this dress and it fits great. So size up (unless you like a snug fit).
