This shoe is very versatile. It is comfortable enough to wear as a house shoe yet you can wear it outside as well. The sole grips the ground effectively giving you sure footing. It is similar to a slipper, but with more support and more applications. It is lightweight with a little slip in the heel which you would expect from a low cut loafer style. You soon stop noticing it because it doesn't impede the comfort or performance of the shoe. It is a shoe of comfort, not to run a marathon in it or walk great distances.

The Keen Alyeska is a great casual shoe. Use it as a slipper in the house or as a comfortable shoe outside. It feels great with or without socks. The inside lining is very comfortable on bare feet. This shoe is great for men or women, very unisex. This is my second pair. I love the slip on feature. Just as I love the shoe, I love Zappos. Their service has always been great. Shoe descriptions are accurate and delivery is fast. I love the fact that they carry all sizes (I wear a womans 12) and many styles to choose from. Variety, price, great service and great brands are a benchmark of Zappos.

My husband and father-in-law both have these and LOVE them. They wear them all over the house and would wear them all over town if I'd allow it. They are sturdy and look nice.

Very comfortable, very stylish shoe. Easy to slip on and light weight. Great grip on smooth floors and pretty good outside too, but mainly an indoor slipper style shoe. It seems that Keens vary in size somewhat, but these were as expected. I think the original description said they were "warm" which is a bit of a stretch, but definitely one of the most comfortable pair of Keens I’ve had.

I got a pair of these this past Christmas. I just wish I could wear them to work! They are great knocking around shoes. Good for running outside to the garage and to the hardware store or to take the trash out, then you can kick them off once in the house. I wear them almost exclusively on the weekends whenever I go outside. Good comfy shoe! Seems a little loose. Possibly could have gone a half size smaller but I'm happy with them.

Slippers or Shoes, could be either.
These are very comfortable, so comfortable I have left the house a couple of times wearing them. I would not say they are light weight, due to their soles, but that is a good thing as they are OK on the driveway in the morning picking up the newspaper. I knocked down the rating because they are not super comfy without socks.

Great shoes, I found the size a bit different. I wear a size 11.5 and had to get an 11 for a good fit. I needed some support around the house and regular slippers did not offer that, the Keens fit the bill.

Great, easy on and off for in house outside and running quick errands. Looks fine with jeans or casual slacks. VERY COMFORTABLE, no break-in required.

Nice Slipper -
I was looking for a good quality slipper that would work for around the house, short trips in the yard and walks to the mailbox. This one fits the bill perfectly. I have a wide foot with a high instep and this fit perfectly.

Some of people have wide feet -
I love Keen shoes but probably won't be buying them again due to their inconsideration for people who don't have the "perfect" foot width.

Really Comfy -
That says it all. They feel good with and without socks. They are warm - not uncomfortably so but better for cooler weather in my opinion - as warm as lined moccasins.
