Rockport Marta are my favorite shoes. They are the best fit, most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I have purchased other brands, but never satisfied so always return to Rockport Marta!

This is a very comfortable and neat looking pair of walking/traveling shoes. I have been in Europe for 2 weeks and, despite being brand new, it was a pleasure to wear then.

The Rockport Marta is a very satisfying and comfortable shoe. I have been looking for an ecru walking shoe and they are most difficult to locate. It holds its shape, moves with the foot up and down hills. The toe box is adequate. The only problem might be that it seems to run a little large. I have been using a thicker sock (actually a Thorlo sock which I now find even harder to find than the Marta shoe)!

I need to have extra wide shoes and Zappos lets me try different shoes and no cost which is priceless for me. These shoes fit so well that I continue to shop here always.

I bought these for my mother as she had worn out the previous pair. They were shipped directly to her and she received them several days earlier than anticipated. While not the most stylish shoe on the planet for woman approaching 90, she (and I) are more concerned with comfort, fit, support. She insisted on having the same and as her last pair of Rockports held up for quite a while, these fit her bill of approval.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: I adore Merrel and Ecco and Munro for myself.

The insoles are too stiff for me. I appreciate more give in the ball of my foot, and this is hard to walk on after about half a day. The fit is good. Walking shoes always look like walking shoes, so nothing unexpected.

Disappointed -
I wanted a shoe that didn't look athletic. I work in healthcare and wanted to wear them as a work shoe. I bought them based on reviews. I find the sole hard, and feel like I was wearing street shoes all day. My feet hurt. They don't seem wide enough, and have no cushioning. I will have to look for another pair, and dread ever putting these on. The seam stitching comes through and also creates pain.

Surprisingly awesome shoes!
Before this purchase, my father in law and my grandmother were the only two people I have ever known that wore Rockports, (i.e. no one under 60 years old.)
However, I am very happy with the way they look and feel- they really are awesome shoes! Very light, yet also lots of support- great for long work days on your feet! They also allow room for cushioning inserts/orthotics without squeezing your toes. Do not let the brand name fool you- these shoes are great, regardless of your age! Ideal for use as nursing shoes!

I have a narrow foot and it's hard to find shoes that fit. I just received my shoes and I thought they would be great for indoors. I'm now going to send them back because the heel of this shoe is not narrow and my heel slips up and down when I walk.

Was expecting better comfort from Rockport -
I have very wide feet with bunions so I purchased this shoe in EW width. It just wasn't wide enough. I walked around the house about 10 minutes, and my bunions never stopped hurting. I had also purchased Hush Puppies Power Walker in the same EW size. This proved to be a much wider, comfortable shoe where the Rockport didn't even come close. I returned the Rockport the next day.

Rockport Marta shoe -
I love this walking shoe. It breathes with the foot and is deep enough for orthotics. Extremely comfortable for long walking trips in Europe. The black leather looks nice with dressing up. I have the tan (ecru) color also - very versatile.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: I like Mephisto shoes also, but much more expensive than this Rockport shoe.

The ‘Marta’ is true to size. Yet there was no support. I expected a better shoe from Rockport. I am disappointed with this shoe.

I ordered these shoes for my mother who is 94 just shy of 95. She says they are very comfortable and they look good on her. I have had a hard time fitting her but these fit her very well and give her some support although she does use a walker. Her feet had a tendency to turn in but it is not so apparent now. I would order this brand again.

Good walking shoes that look businesslike -
I got these shoes in preparation for a half-business, half-pleasure trip to Europe.
Rockport’s are just the thing for walking miles of cobblestones, castles, and airport concourses, and these shoes look professional enough that I wouldn't feel that my feet were desperately underdressed if we happened to run into the regional HQ staff.
Lightweight, quality construction, good support for tired feet.
They do feel just a little bit wide, but that's *fine.* Room for thick socks. Room for a gel insole. Room for feet to swell after a long flight or a long day.

All Rockport sneakers I have bought have been very comfortable, but these fit like gloves. They are ready to wear comfortable as soon as you first put them on. Love them!

Not for work -
Ok for casual wear but poor arch support and flat bottoms make it a bad choice for a nurse in a hospital setting. I will use these occasionally and buy a better shoe for work.

Length runs quite true. It's a little bit wide. I ordered a N and need to wear a bit weightier sock for a really good fit. It could stand a bit more support in the arch. Nicely finished, I like the looks of the shoe very much. It doesn't have that 'clunky' walking shoe appearance.

Great shoe-
Overall this is a great shoe. It doesn't have a very good arch support, so I don't wear them everyday. In my opinion the sizing is right on and the shoe looks good. I wish it had a better arch support.

Works for me!
This is a classic Rockport shoe--maybe not what you'd wear if you're a style maven, but comfortable, and incredibly lightweight. It's cut fairly high to give good walking support. My foot's wide, I ordered a wide width, and it's perfect. My arches are very high, so I don't get quite the support I need, but the shoe easily fits an orthotic.

What happened to sizIng?
I am writing this for both this shoe and for Hush Puppies Classic Walker. Both shoes look fine. Both are 10W. However this shoe, Marta, is visibly one half inch longer than the Classic. The result is the Classic is too short and the Marta is too long and is also a bit wide. Both are made in China.
