These are great. They can really accommodate wide calves comfortably. My calves measure in excess of the specs provided, but the stretch boots easily zip and are comfortable. You don't really feel the height of this heel-- the structure of the boot makes the height quite comfortable.

I ordered these Wed. morning and they were delivered Thursday. The boot was thinner than I thought and the calf was super big... too big. I ordered an 11.5 (I did not even know they made an 11 1/2.) The shoe part fit, and the zip went up with ease, but the boot itself was so big it was like a pair of falling tights on my bbw wide calved frame. They are being returned, sadly. Perhaps I will try again. This is my 3rd shoe return, but at least I know that the half size fits!

I am a size 7 normally in shoes, sometimes a 7.5. I also have larger calfs. I ordered a 7. These boots are WAY comfy and fit my calf perfectly! Love them.

Fits chubby calves!
I have chubby calves so have difficulty getting knee-high boots. These fit perfectly through the calves. The ankles buckle a little, but it will do. They are a little pointy in the front so if you have wider fit, you might want to order the wide. I wear a regular width and with socks, rather than tights, these would probably be too tight. But nice looking, simple, clean, boot.

I'm happy with the boots. Very comfortable, the only thing is that they are a little bit loose around the calves. Other than that, I can wear them all day and not have sore feet. I didn't realize how fast the shipping was; I think it took 4 business days. That was quick even if we were in the Christmas season. This is my very first Zappos order and it will not be the last. Happy shopping!

These boots are great. I have a wide calf and they actually are roomy, they are a little big in the ankle.

I ordered the WW width because I have super huge calves (18 inches!). These boots were way too wide even for my calves. I'm guessing that a wide would have a smaller calf, though I wish the calf circumference in relationship to the size and width were explained in the product information. Sadly, these boots are getting returned as the calf would need to be at least two inches smaller to fit.

I love these boots! They are really stylish, a good price, and great fit. They are very comfortable which is highly unusual for me, particularly with a heel. They calf is not too big nor small. I think mine are normal size. I would highly recommend checking these out.

The calf on these boots is super wide. I ordered wide thinking it meant the width of the shoe, not the width of the calf. I could put another leg in it.

Totally love these boots! I ordered size 7.5 EE; the foot width was perfect for me. I have a wide calf (17.5 inches) and always have problems with finding tall boots that fit. These fit perfectly and would even fit a slightly larger calf as well due to the slight stretchiness of the material. Very comfortable in the foot and still feel great at the end of a day of continuous wear. While they were a bit more expensive than I would have liked to have paid for a non-leather boot, they are totally worth it in my opinion!

I have been looking for a long time for boots to fit my large 17 inch calves. I got these in regular size and they did not ft. Then I ordered half size larger then my regular size in W and they fit perfectly. They are maybe a tad too long for my foot, but they did not have my size in W. I have a hard time wearing heels, but these are very comfortable from that point of view. I do have a small problem with these. The wrinkling at the ankles bothers me a little, the pressure seems a bit much. However, I am willing to put up with that, considering this is the first pair of boots I am wearing in very long time.

I love these boots! When looking at something online, you just don't know what you are getting. These are so worth it! The heel is perfect for dressy or casual. The material is stretchy enough to be comfy without slouching. All of my Zappos purchases have been wonderful. Also, if you are a girl with a larger calf this style will totally work!

I purchased the patent black boots. They are very cute and I immediately received compliments from my girlfriends. They are very comfortable and had no problems walking all day in them. They are not leather, of course, but for this price they are very chic, so I ordered the brown, black, and hopefully patent red when my size comes in. Time will tell how well they wear.

For having purchased these without even trying them on first, I'm extremely pleased. I have problematic feet and the heel height is great for me, plus the rubber sole and padded foot bed, I almost feel like I'm wearing slippers! Okay, that's an exaggeration, but I am very happy with how they look, fit and feel. In regards to all of the complaints about the ankle wrinkling, I've been weight training for years, so I have substantial calves and these boots fit me just fine.

I was so very excited to find a stretch boot in my size (12W). Unfortunately, I'm not sure what David Tate manufacturers were thinking with this one. I'm used to stretch items clinging, but stretching out for comfort. These boots were pre-stretched (I guess) so much that the shaft never touched my leg and sort of bunched up for a very sloppy look. Unfortunately, I will be returning them.

I love them. As soon as they came I put them on and wore them all day at work, beautiful and comfortable. I bought them for dressier outfits, but they make everything look good. I must resist the temptation to wear them every day.

I'm actually surprised by other people's reviews of these boots, because my biggest complaint was that the calf was too wide. I have pretty chubby calves and I work out a lot, so they're solid little guys and even they were swimming in the huge necks of the boots. I could've worn one on my head, really. Great color and height, but I shipped them back. It was too ridiculous.

Finally - a tall boot that fits! I am very hard to fit in boots - I have a wide foot and large calves plus my left ankle is larger than my right due to numerous fractures. I ordered these in the brown and they are very comfortable and flattering. However, I do need to return them and I am very sad about this. Size 8 was not available and I had to order an 8.5 - sometimes this is not a problem but unfortunately these are way too long for me. I am keeping my fingers crossed a size 8 will become available soon because I absolutely adore these boots!

I found these boots doing a search for "wide calf", but they most certainly are not. They fit exactly the same as every other boots I've tried on, which are not described as "wide calf". The black patent doesn't stretch at all.

I bought these in a 9.5 wide and they are the most comfortable shoes I own! I admit that the patent leather doesn't look as good as it could, it's very shiny and "plastic-y", but not really in a bad way. I wanted to wear them for a work function, but they are too "hot" for the skirt I was wearing. They are great with pants because they really pop, and would be good with a long skirt, or for going out with the girls. They stay up (no slouching, but do nip into my ankles a bit). Overall, a good buy and a great fit.

I actually really liked these boots. At size 11 it is very hard to find a cute boot and living in Seattle, you really need them. But alas, I had to return them as the zipper bulged out at the ankle. My ankles are pretty slim but my calf is not, that could have been the trouble. From the brief time I had them on at the house I could tell they would have been great if not for the durn zipper bump out. Rats! Oh well, hope they work for someone else because they were cute.
