I got these shoes for water hiking and canyoneering. Breaking in the shoes gave a few blisters but that’s typical for me. The first hike I did in these shoes was the Zion’s Narrows and I couldn’t be happier. If you’re not familiar with the Narrows in Zion it will test any shoe and these passed. 13 miles of the hike were in water and the shoe had no problem, the very hard bottom really protects your feet from hard river rocks also. I had to replace the laces but that’s about all. I don’t like stretchy laces so I used regular tennis shoe laces.
