I'm now on my feet 6-8 hours a day as an industrial trainer. I needed steel-toe shoes so when I saw these, they were about the least-ugly non-clunky steel-toes I could find. I also have wide feet so the EE width sounded good. These things are killing me. I should have returned them immediately, but they felt great during the test-trot around the house. There's a ridge that runs from front to back right under the side of my big toe, so after an hour or so that gnarly hard spot you get on the side of the big toe (which I've been grinding down every few days without relief) just screams in pain, and I've got another six hours to go. Whee. I don't have bunions or anything, just callus from years of wearing Birkenstocks which I can't wear to work now as open-toes are banned and steel-toe highly suggested. No other shoe has caused me this much grief. Unfortunately, now that I've worn them for two weeks I can't return them, so I guess I have to try something else and take these to the thrift store. My work paid for them, but I doubt they're going to pay for a different pair.

 |  | Hello! I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who works for Zappos. As of yesterday, I've ordered from Zappos five times over the last couple years. I usually get my orders the next day, and the longest it's taken has only been two days, and I think that's just awesome! At my job I work in customer service and think it's very important to like to help people in a job like that. I can tell Zappos employees must love their jobs because everyone does such great job. With every one of my orders, it only proves there really isn't a better place to shop on line, (or shop anywhere, in general)!
