I am a woman with big feet. I love Lowa hiking boots because they are a bit narrower than the typical male hiking boots.\r\n\r\nThe Zephyr is great! I wanted a lightweight boot for a 10 day day-hiking road trip. Wore them once for about a 3 mile walk before we left, and they were wonderful. No break in time, great ankle support.

Great boots. No break in needed. Went out on a two week hunt trip and they held up very well. Be advised they are very true to size. Great arch support and are very light. These boots are waterproof. Buyers will love this boot.

Great boot - The Zephyr is all that it advertised. Lightweight, supportive, great traction. They are a full pound lighter than my Scarpa ZG's [pair]. There is a small trade off for the lighter Zephyr as the mid-sole of the Scarpa is a bit more protective of sharp rocks. But unless you are carrying a big load of over 25-30 pounds, it won't be an issue.

Excellent Hiking Boot for hard to fit feet -
I tried about 14 pairs of hiking boots before I settled on these. I have a very hard to fit foot. It's wide, and even some wide widths aren't quite enough. I was a little hesitant at first to keep these because I didn't feel they were as comfortable as I wanted, however, after about a 1 week break-in period I am sooooooo glad I kept them. They turned out to be the "best" hiking boot I've ever bought. (I did have to put a "ball of the foot" gel insert in but that's just because of my foot problems.) I was just going to use these on hikes where it wasn't rocky but I love these boots so much I use these on all our hikes now. They give excellent support. I am in the process of ordering another pair, that's how good they are. I would recommend these to everyone especially those with a wide foot. Simply the best hiking boot I've ever found and I've been looking a very long time (I'm 48).

 | | After placing an order online, I realized that I didn't log into the site with the VIP, but with the regular Zappos.com. I immediately called your 24/7 hot line, and had one of the best customer service agents ever! Not only was she helpful in changing the shipping immediately, I also asked her to help me find similar boots in a different color, and she really tried her best to do so. I want to thank her once again for her kindness, support, and help! It is easy and fast to complain, and very rare to get a compliment! This is definitely a compliment for an excellent rep!
Best regards,
