The shoes are pretty. And--I\\\'m going to wear them despite the fact that they hurt after a while. The straps and buckles tend to cut into the foot. I\\\'m thinking it\\\'s my feet because one shoe tends to be looser than the other. Next time, I\\\'ll try ordering a triple A and see if that works better.\\Other shoes I have ordered have been most satisfactory--especially the Clark\\\'s.

Wide is not actually wide -
I ordered this shoe in the exact same size as other Vaneli sandals I own (7.5 Wide), but alas, my foot spilled over the sides and I almost killed myself while walking around the house.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: I don't know! I'm looking for an equivalent pair that fit.

 | | I want you to know how pleased I am that my dad received his shoes so quickly! He got them today. I am amazed! He is a patient at the VA hospital in Denver. He is a WWll combat veteran who lost his leg after stepping on a land mine. Recently, he was taken to the VA hospital because no one at his present home could care for him. He was sick, malnourished, and to add insult to injury, could not use his prosthetic leg because it caused a sore on his amputated stump. To shorten a long story, he had no shoes with him with which to begin learning to use his new prosthesis. I ordered them Saturday as soon as I hung up talking with him and he received them today. Now he can begin the long journey to regain his stride and health. He will be returning to the east coast of Virginia to be with family. My sincerest thanks for helping my dad recover and come home to me. Barbara I. | | ~ Barbara I., September 29 2009
