Pain from plantar fasciitis had let me to wear my hiking boots to the office for 3 months. After having read the other reviews, I decided to try the Born Codder. I ordered a size smaller as the reviews suggested. There was some pinching and rubbing on the outside toe of my right foot, which has been corrected by putting a shoe tree in at night. The support is great and the shoe is much more appropriate for office wear. Thanks!

So comfortable. I have never had luck finding comfortable shoes (aside from sneakers) due to my slightly wide feet, but these fit the bill! They are soft and light and the strap ensures a good fit. Perfect!

My shoes arrived so quickly and they fit right out of the box. I usually wear a size 8 1/2 and these fit and are even sightly roomy. The strap adjusts nicely to snug them up. They are very well made and comfy. Very happy.

Great shoe. This is a very comfortable shoe. I have to disagree with some of the reviews that I read about the shoe not needing to be broken in. I found that the shoes were a little tight at the top when I first wore them, but after one or two wears, the shoes were very comfortable. They felt like the perfect fit when I bought them (besides the slight tightness on the top of the foot), but they have stretched a little with wear, which I'm okay with.

I have a pair of the Born Sable slip ons, and am very impressed with how comfortable they are. Sadly, these mary janes just didn't fit my foot, but I wanted to like them. They felt a little short, and I'm not sure going up a half size would fix the problem. I really do appreciate all the helpful reviews on Zappos, and the great service!

I love these shoes; they are very comfortable. At work I stand up almost all day and this pair of shoes is wonderful for the job. They provide a very good arch support and the cushion is perfect.

I have problems with my feet and can find few shoes that I am able to wear. These shoes are the best! They are not only adorable, but comfortable. I am always able to put them right on and not have to worry about blistering on my heels. If you spend a great deal of time on your feet, Born shoes are the answer. I've received many compliments when wearing these shoes. I'd definitely recommend purchasing these shoes. And as far as Zappos goes, they're the best to deal with! Truth!

This shoe looks like it would make your foot look huge, but it is so cleverly designed that a size 8 looks dainty and narrow. It feels wonderful out of the box, and it feels like a heavenly fit. However, this shoe is very roomy with a very full and round toe and the leather is soft, so after just a couple of wearings they have stretched enough I\'m going to have to wear\r\nthick winter socks or they are just too loose to fit. A half size smaller would have fit perfectly after a couple of wearings. The thick sole is not heavy at all, and the insole is comfy\r\nenough to wear barefoot.

Great shoe! Very comfy; footbed is cushy & doesn't get all gross if you wear the shoe without socks. Sizing is generous, but I wouldn't say they run large. Plus, no break-in period required! Great for all day at work, and still looks cute with jeans or casual wear.

I love these shoes! I have worn the Born brand before and have always been satisfied but these really "take the cake"! They run true to size and have a very "cushy" insole. I love the patent leather look, too.

Out of the box, these are the most comfortable shoes I have ever bought. I wear size 11, regular width and feel that these are true to size if not a little roomy. I have worn them with capris, jeans, and casual skirts. My only caution would be to those with hot feet. I have never had my feet be hot in a pair of shoes and these are a little warm. They will be great for fall and winter with a pair of tights or light socks. Basically, I love the comfort!

These shoes were perfect out of the box! I love the fit and did not like the Merrel of a similar style. Super comfortable on my medium width foot and medium high arch. True to size as well. I bought the Rickey style as well and am keeping both styles as I like them so much. I will definitely buy Born shoes again!

I really like my black Codders! I have trouble finding shoes that are comfortable, stylish, and work-appropriate. My feet get sore and tired very easily, and these are comfortable to wear all day, plus I love the way they look.

I ordered these shoes for work. I have a semi-wide foot in a size 9 with a high arch. This shoe needed no breaking in time. It fit perfectly right off the bat and is still my daily footwear for work. Looks adorable with pants, and I plan to wear them with tights and dresses in winter. One point of warning, they tend to squeek slightly.

Great pair of shoes. I wore them right out of the box on a two week tour of Finland and Norway. They have good support and looked so much better than tennis shoes for city touring. I had tried several other Mary Jane type shoes, but these are definitely the winners.

Put these on and walked all day. No breaking in, no sore feet. I usually wear a 9 or 9W and these were perfect in a Euro 40. Love the ventilated foot base and the fact that the strap doesn't have to be undone to slip the shoe on and off. Not dressy but not sporty either...a slightly jazzed Mary Jane. I love them and so do my feet!

Good support and roomy -
I have difficulty finding shoes that fit comfortably (wide feet) but as soon as I put these on, I knew they were keepers. This shoe is very well made, very roomy and has a nice supportive footbed. I keep the strap on a loose setting so that I can slip them on and off and don't have to fiddle with the buckle each time. The only drawback for me is the top stitching, which is a beige - I would rather it was black and matched the shoe. I recommend these shoes and will look to buy Borns again.

These shoes are so comfortable I bought two! They have great arch support and can be slipped off and on without unbuckling the strap. The shoe has lots of toe room, so these shoes are not for people with narrow feet. The heel has a nice cushion, so no rubbing! The only negative I would give these shoes is the appearance of the seam which runs up the middle of the toe. One of the shoes had a flawless seam. The other one was a little wavy. Overall, great shoe!

I bought these because they were well-reviewed. I am amazed and delighted to say that they fit perfectly out of the box, required no breaking-in, and have thus far given no blisters. Mine were a 9.5 medium--didn't run wide or narrow. They are supportive and they look pretty with a skirt!
