Not a wide calf boot at all, and a bit snug on the foot. If you like the boot and don't need a "wide-calf" order them in a half-size larger then normal. The style is mod and leather is soft and beautiful. Nice boot, poor fit.

These boots are awesome. Comfortable, they look great with skirts, pants, tucked in or out, make dresses more stylish. People will sure take a double look at the braiding on the side. Very expensive looking. Zappos customer service team, shoot the roof off the ceiling, I got my boots the next day. Yeah, DSW and Nordstrom, try and beat that. Zappos has much of a selection.

This boot is not wide calf. When I got them I could zip them almost all the way up. I took them to a cobbler to get the shaft stretched and then they looked fine. They're a cute boot. I like the braiding up the side. It's a different take on a riding boot.

I bought these boots back in February 2009. They were a little bit uncomfortable around the ankle for the first few days of wearing them. After a week of wearing in the leather, these became my most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I love these boots. I work in a retail store in Santa Monica and I get compliments on them daily. I have muscular legs, and these fit very well with or without my jeans tucked into them. I highly recommend these.

Awesome boots. These boots are awesome! I have fairly wide feet and these fit perfect! My calves are normal sized and that part fit perfect, also! They are a tall boot but I have a 36" inseam so it's fine for me. Quality is great, too!

I just got these. They\'re perfect. As for the debate about whether they\'re wide calf or not -- yes, somewhat. I wear a 6 1/2 to 7 shoe (small), but am 5\'8", so although my calves are not particularly big for my height, most knee-high boots are tight around my calves (although I can get most on). These are perfect -- not too loose, but loose enough I can COMFORTABLY wear knee-high socks underneath. Very nice quality. I\'m thrilled. Dressy enough to wear when I go to meetings, and yet low heeled. RARE!

Great looking boot -
I received my boots today. This is an awesome boot. The quality is fantastic. However, I must return it. They are not wide calf at all. I don't have big calves, but I could not zip the boot to the top. I would love to keep if the calf were wider.

Beautiful, but too long -
I was so excited to receive these in the mail. They looked so good in the box. The leather looked genuine and the braided detail was gorgeous. However, when I put them on, the shaft was too tall for me. It kept hitting the back of my knee when I walked, making them uncomfortable. I am 5'8" and did not expect to have this problem. I am so sad I have to return these. They truly are wonderful boots if you have long calves.

NOT a wide-calf boot!!
This boot is definitely not a wide calf boot. My calves are not even that wide and I could not zip them past my ankle. I would have kept them if not for this reason. The leather was very soft and beautiful, and the braided detail on the sides is even better in person than in the picture. The soles were very comfortable too. If you plan to wear socks with these, get the wider size as they were a little narrow.

I loved the look of this boot and the shoe part fit great, but I guess my right calf is larger than the left and it was too tight. I don't really have fat calves, just a little muscular from walking on a treadmill I guess. Too bad, the boots look great! Definitely not wide calf as stated. I tried two other styles and they both fit my calves.

They're back in the box.
These boots are going back...they were really baggy at the ankle and calf and look pretty boring. I like classic style but it has to have a bit of zip and these boots don't. They felt really comfortable but in the end that didn't carry the day.

Stella(r) Boots -
Great looking boot in rich chocolate brown. Nice and tall with equestrian look. My daughter wears them with skirts and over jeans. The leather feels nice and the braided detail on the sides is sharp.

I own these shoes in both tan and brown and they go with everything. The bling is fun too. Perhaps better suited for a wider foot but OK for regular feet as well. I agree with earlier reviewer that you feel like you're walking on pillows in these shoes.

Misnamed -
These are gorgeous boots, really nice quality. However, the shaft is only 14.75 inches. I don't know how that can ever be considered "wide calved". I have 16.5 inch calves so obviously they were too small on me. I didn't read the dimensions well before I ordered them. They were tight from ankle to calf, really really uncomfortable, but so beautiful nonetheless.

These boots look great with jeans as well as skirts and dresses. I have very athletic calves and usually have problems finding boots that aren't too tight, but I had no problems with these boots. They are extremely comfortable.

Great boots!
I'm a bit frugal and don't usually spend this much money on footwear, but what a great purchase! These boots look amazing. The deep brown color, VERY soft leather, and high shaft mean they look great with almost any skirt as well as with pants. So in the end I'm quite happy and wear them all the time.

These boots are beautiful! The pattern up the side is very nice and the leather is really soft. The boots are tall - I'm near 5'7" and the boot came up right below my knee. However, I had to send them back because the calf was a bit too big and slouchy, the boot gapped at the top, otherwise I would have kept them. My calves are average, so if you have a bit wider calve, these boots should work. Shopping for the perfect black boot continues...

Kick butt boots!
I LOVE these boots! I was looking for something stylish, sexy and comfortable, and these are IT! I'm six foot tall, so I didn't want too much heel. These are perfect - just enough heel. They look great on - I've gotten so many compliments already, and I've only worn them twice.

Loved the boots but I have a narrow calf and ankle and found them way too roomy. Suspect I will have a difficult time finding boots that work for me.

Love the type z stellas!
This boot has the softest, most beautiful leather--we're talking real quality. I like how tall the shaft is, making it a great boot to pair with skinny legged jeans, leggings and all lengths of skirt. The side detailing is really eye-catching and at the same time understated. I get tons of compliments on these and feel great wearing them.

The calf was loose. I am 6' tall and the boot hit at a perfect place below the knee. The leather was not expensive "feeling".

What a cute boot, but the upper calf size is way too big, looked baggy. I am 5 '10" and weigh about 145 lbs, so my legs are average to thin, but not skinny.

Finally a tall, narrow, flat boot -
I've been looking for a pair of tall, low-heeled boots for quite some time. With other boots the circumference has been too large or the toe too pointy. These were just right - snug enough (with socks) with a nicely rounded toe.
Unlike another reader, the height was fine for me. I'm 5'6" and I did not have a problem with the height of the boots. The size 7.5 hit just at the bottom of my knee.

I loved them but...
...I have to return them. The boots are beautiful and very comfortable except they are too tall for me and hit the top of my knee cap. I am 5'6", so I was surprised.

Great Fit & So Comfy!
I bought these because I recently had surgery and needed something that had a low heel to walk in (as I am a lover of all things high heel).
I LOVE these boots. They are comfortable, pretty true to fit - they run a bit narrow at first but break in beautifully. I get glowing compliments on them every time I wear them.
