Of the five pairs of athletic shoes I ordered, these, which cost the most, were the least comfortable. Too tight and felt hard. I tried all of them on the treadmill and couldn\'t even wear these for that brief test. Returning, using Zappos\' fabulous service! Zappos rocks!

Since my husband and I live in northern MN, it is not always convenient to shop in person. The internet is a safe and convenient way to order exactly what you want/need, instead of doing it in person, relying on the retailer to have the product you are looking for. Zappos has always been fast, efficient, and reasonable in their prices, plus having the sizes we need on hand and available. And the best part is the free shipping!

Very comfortable. Needs to size up a bit in length; I had to go up one full size; width is very good; while I normally get a wide, I probably could have gotten a regular width. My next pair will probably be a standard size. I have bought from Zappos before; excellent service. I wish this sneaker came in other colors.

I'm an over 50 guy who teaches Phys. Ed. K-Grade 5. These shoes are comfortable right out of the box. I'm on my feet all day with the kids. They wear well; one pair gets me through the school year in comfort. I've tried other shoes (cross-trainers, even more expensive shoes) but these are the ones I've come to rely on year after year.

I am extremely pleased with these shoes. This model replaces the 844, which I have owned for almost 2 years. The new model fits well and is very comfortable.

Great shoes! Good fit right from the start. Be sure of your size though and realize that New Balance shoes tend to be a little shorter than the standard size numbers. So if you are on the long side of your sizes you may want to consider the next size up. Zappos free return policy can come into play here so be sure they fit before taking off on a walk! My second pair after using up the first.

\r\nthis is my second pair of mw 845 and am still very pleased with the fit and comfort. Soles seem a little stiffer than the earlier 84- series but after breaking in for a week they are very comfortable.

These are the most comfortable walking shoes I have ever owned, and I am 80 years old and walk more than 1000 miles a year.

Well made shoe, but sizing was off. Shoe was smaller and narrowing than expected. I recommend you order at least a half size bigger and a size wider than your normal shoe size.

I was looking for walking shoes after a 2 level spinal fusion. These were the second pair I tried and I use them almost exclusively for my two-a-day walks (I average 8-10 miles per day). Extremely comfortable and supportive on paved roads. I would highly recommend the 845's for anyone who enjoys walking. Note: I had to order a 1/2 size larger than my normal size.

These are worthy successors to the "844" which I have worn for a a couple of years with great satisfaction. These look good, feel great, and seem very well made! Service, of course, from Zappos.com was exceptional and appreciated.

This is the first time I've bought MW845s. I did so because my usual shoe, the MW 927, was temporarily out of sufficient stock. I've been buying New Balance walking shoes for about 5 years; very satisfied with their excellent support and long lasting durability. The 845s did not disappoint! I'm a very heavy walker, over 250 lbs. weight, so I need a very good support shoe! If you are in this weight range or above, you'll find, as I did, that the 927 is even better than the 845. If not, you should be quite satisfied with the performance of the 845. I've worn Asics and Adidas. New Balance is a superior walking shoe. Buy 2 pairs at a time and wear each pair on alternate walking days. They'll last much longer that way! Finally, Zappos is the only place to buy your shoes if you value prompt, dependable service before and after the sale!

This is the 3rd pair of shoes of this type that I have purchased from Zappos. I find them very comfortable and supportive. My only concern is that the tread on my previous pair (844) did not seem to last as long as the predecessor (843). Even so, I would purchase them again without reservation.

I have had a lot of trouble with heel pain, and after reading advertising and some customer reviews, I thought this would be just the right thing for me. These are pretty good shoes, but quite a bit over rated as far as cost goes. I have been trying to break them in for gym shoes. They will not work as a good walking shoe for someone of my weight, 180 to190lbs. New Balance has some pretty good inserts that will help with arch support in these shoes.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: If you are having foot problems with your arch or heels you might want to try a pair of Keen shoes or boots.

I had high hopes that this would be a suitable replacement for my discontinued MW575 since they share a similar last. Fit was OK and true to size, but the foot bed has a bump under the toes that I find extremely uncomfortable. It\'s probably there for stability, but I can\'t stand it. I\'m not a fan of the stealth-bomber-batman styling either (I prefer a plainer shoe).

My husband has had a triple bone fusion in his ankle and this shoe gives him great support around the ankle. Zappos offers free shipping and we don\'t have to drive to another city to the New Balance Store to purchase the shoes we need. Thanks Zappos.

I bought these for my dad after he had knee replacement surgery. He likes to take a walk every day, and I wanted him to have super comfortable shoes. I had read plenty of great reviews about these sneakers, so I went for it. He said as soon as he put them on, they felt great, and he loves them! (Just a note, they seem to run a 1/2 size small).

Did my research online and decided these were the best bet for my low-arched, over-pronating feet with which I like to conquer San Francisco's hills. I made the right choice. They feel great! They were true to my usual NB size (9.5, EE), and they are flexible and yet offer great motion control and superior cushioning. This was my first time ordering shoes online, and I remain very happy with my experience from Zappos. A++!

Lightweight but too snug -
This shoe is attractive and lightweight, but it feels too snug. The way the thick padded tongue is attached makes the shoe harder to slip on than any other New Balance shoes I have worn. Plastic trim piece on back of shoe is also a bad design choice. I would not buy these again.

I just bought the 845s from Zappos online. Great service... asked for the "free" 5 day delivery and they were there the next day! I wear a 14AA and have a real tough time finding athletic shows that fit, feel and look great. These are a home run in all respects.
