We love Keens in our house because they NEVER wear out before the kids outgrow them. I went through several other brands before finding these and now I just look for the bigger size Keens every time my kids--5 year old boy and 3 year old girl--need new shoes. The rubber toe is a MUST for good wear. I\'ve even been able to give the shoes away as hand me downs in nice condition after a full year of hard outdoor wear. I highly recommend these shoes!

These are wonderful shoes for children to wear from morning til night. They are stable and suitable for hiking, classroom wear, playground and even running (when children run, they veer over curbs and over rough terrain, grass, gravel - unlike adults who seek the smoother path...). Do you see the way the snug-tie is TUCKED into the laces? That's the way they should be worn to avoid snags on bus doors, loose roots on trails, bike chains and so forth. These are in girl-friendly colors and don't look too overly clunky with a dress. Much more stable than other brands. If you live in the city and don't go to the parks, get the other brands. For the rest of us, there are Keens.

I ordered these shoes for my 4 year old daughter for a backpacking trip and she absolutely loves them! These shoes provide plenty of traction and I love how Keen has the rubber toe guard that actually covers the toes.

I came to Zappos in search of a waterproof, flexible walking shoe for my 6yo daughter to walk to school in and wear all day. I bought these mainly based on the reviews posted here. They didn't lead me astray. Previously, she had worn New Balance sneakers everyday. (We still love NB, but they aren't waterproof--a must in the Midwest this time of year.) When we received the shoes, she put them on, jumped up and down a few times, and then declared, "I love these shoes!" She's worn them everyday since (about a month ago). I had recently had her foot measured as size 12 and bought a 12. They seem to fit just fine, no complaints from her. I was thrilled with my first Zappos experience--I ordered them at about 9pm and they came the next afternoon. I'm sold on Keen and Zappos!

BEST KIDS SHOE OUT THERE!
I have never purchased a children's shoe that has held up as well as these have! My very active 4 year old loves them - she has never ever complained about them being uncomfortable. These shoes don't even show their wear - they look fantastic after 5 months! And they are cute and stylish too!

My daughter loves these shoes. They fit her personality; she is rough and tumble but loves pink and princesses. She had some difficulty getting them on at first but now has no problem. They seem to be true to size.

Great shoe!
My 8-year old daughter has these and loves them. She has previously refused to wear any brand other than Merrell, but now is very happy with them. She has worn them almost every day since the beginning of fall, and there is virtually no sign of wear.

Love this shoe -
I have three girls who each have this shoe. It can be used for gym class, (non- marking sole) it is water proof for those rainy or snowy days, and an has a "no hassle" easy slip on and off. It's great, and looks cool. Every one ask about it too! Slightly snug to put on, but once on, fits true to size, and doesn't slip around.

We bought these for our daughter to go on a 5 mile hike. She broke them in for a week before and they were absolutely GREAT!
