As a girl who prefers heels or bare feet, these were a great compromise for the boyfriend who loves hiking and the great outdoors. They look cute from the sides, although when I look down at my feet they look HUGE - hence only 4 stars on the look. As for comfort, I'm still experimenting with the bungee tightness - too tight and your foot skin will squish out the holes. Speaking of the holes, I'm still getting used to them. They don't pinch or blister and the edges are nice and soft, but my baby toe almost squishes out of the one...although that's probably more of a problem with my deformed toe than the shoe. Overall, I'm very happy.

Great for kids!
We bought these for a camping trip and EuroDisney. They worked well, no problems with a picky child! I will be getting another pair for him soon!

I love these shoes. Great for summer time and outdoor activities. Worth the extra money for a water/outdoor shoe. The close-toe feature is also a bonus.

Keens are a wonderful shoe! They are comfortable and we buy a new pair each summer. If your child has narrow ankles, the back can slip, but still a great shoe. Great shoe for those with wide feet.

Nice shoe, but won't wear it -
This is a very good looking shoe, sturdy, good idea, etc, but my 5 - soon to be 6-year-old son will not wear them because they are too hard to get on and off by himself. He loved them once they were on - said they felt really good, but he also said he would not wear them because they take too long. So I gave this shoe 2 stars overall because what good is a shoe if you can't get your kid to wear it. So I purchased the style with velcro (H2) and he wears them all the time! I love them, too. They can get wet, muddy. He can wear them to Summer daycamp (since they are closed-toe), the tread has a good grip - perfect!

Poor design -
These shoes are extremely difficult to get on. The way the shoe is designed doesn't allow for the shoe to open up enough for my son to get his foot in without a struggle. I've purchased 3 pairs of Keen shoes in the past (all slightly different designs) that I was very pleased with. I think this model's design is flawed.

Son of a Sandal and a Sneaker -
This is the perfect hybrid play shoe for the summer. My kid loves them and unlike Crocs (his favorite from last year) they stay on his feet!

Super, just plain super -
Love these shoes; even though a bit big for my son, they are just super. He has a bit of a challenge getting them on his feet. My daughter's pair--so good I can't get them off her feet, even wears them with socks when she needs to. Bravo!

"Keens are the best"...words straight out of an active 7 year old's mouth! They are the shoe of choice all summer long. They are great to walk, run and swim in. The best shoe I ever bought according to my son.

My son loves his new sneaker/sandal. With camp starting and the heat pumping he can still wear a sneaker but it is open like a sandal. Love it!!!!

No 1/2 sizes & Smelly -
+ This is the first shoe my son has worn in which he has NOT complained about aching feet.
+ They are rugged, washable, good for wet/dry conditions (perfect for kids!).
- They do NOT come in 1/2 sizes. We usually struggle to get the ankle strap over his heel, yet I think going a whole size larger would then be too long.
- They make his feet smell (at least they're washable).

Awesome sandals -
My husband and I each have a pair of these so we bought them for our son last summer. He's on his second pair now since he outgrew his first pair. It's the only pair of shoes he needs for the entire summer. They're just like tennis shoes, but cooler. And they can get wet, perfect for walking along rocky beaches. They're great for hand-me-downs, too, since they don't seem to wear out! I highly recommend these!

Wonderful Shoes -
I just purchased this shoe again for my son this summer. We had purchased the Teva sandal that is similar just a few weeks ago and after a couple wearing it looks worn out. Both my boys wore the KEEN sandal last summer and other than wear on the bottom they still look brand new. You can just throw them in the washing machine and they come out looking new (gets rid of the smell too.) Don't waste your time looking at similar sandals - they can't compare!

Great shoes but hard for kids to put on by themselves -
Everything about these water/action shoes is excellent, but both my kids (ages 5 and 7) have trouble getting them on without adult help. That's why I'm giving it 4 stars. Otherwise, I'm completely satisfied with these and will get them again when my kids need the next size up.

2nd summer with them and the kids are happy.
Just a great shoe. They can get a little stinky from time to time, but the washing machine works wonders...I don't put them in the dryer.

Great Shoes!
These shoes are a nice compromise for my son who likes to wear flip flops in January and his mother who wants him to wear shoes. There are no shoe laces for him to fumble with and they are easy slide on, slide off shoes. He says they are very comfortable and they keep his toes from getting too cold. He can wear socks with them for added warmth.

Good buy -
My hubby has some and we decided it was worth it to spend the money on the kiddo when his last pair of sandals ripped apart when he was playing. These quickly became his favorite shoes and he wears them almost everyday (it's cold season now, wears them with socks). In my opinion, definitely worth the money. They are extremely sturdy also, which he needs since he wears them all the time and is outside constantly (crawling, running, riding).
